If someone gives me good odds, I'll wager some goats!

Go Cavs!

I'll take 3:1 Odds. 25,500 versus my 8500 goats.

Plenty of room for other bets! I like 3:1 odds. I'll stick with that.

Game 1 was frustrating and agonizing to watch.

LBJ needs to change his game, and Hughes needs to step up and get some points.

Cleveland had Detroit down 3-2 last year in the playoffs, Zan. It won't surprise me if this goes 7 and if Cleveland wins, but in order to do that we need our role players to step up

Two close wins for Detroit. This series is much closer than I thought it would be (from looking at box scores the day after).

Agreed.

Lebron is playing out of his mind BECAUSE he has no team to back him up. All of the great offensive explosions this year came from great players on shitty teams... Iverson, Kobe, Arenas and now Lebron. Don't get me wrong, it looks like they'll play San Antonio next week... but... he's going to need some help from a bunch of mediocre players in order to beat them.

Drew Gooden is decent, but after Boozer's near 15/15 average much of this year, you have to wonder what that would have done for Cleveland against San Antonio.

Shrug... Boozer has Deron Williams, probably one of the top 4 or 5 point-guards in the league. Cavs don't have that ball movement ability.

You realize if Cleveland gets to the finals they won't win. The Indians didn't win in '95 and '97. Cleveland teams just don't win championships.

It's been, what, 1948 for baseball, the 50's for football and never for basketball? The trend continues.

Well it doesn't help that they would be playing a team that's basically unbeatable in the finals...

Plus laying SA, you have Bowen gaurding LBJ most likely. Bowen for all his cheap shots, and his play, is still the most effective defending (or top 5) in the league. That is going to be very difficult to overcome. Couple that with the lack of people available to gaurd Duncan, it would just be too much for them to overcome.

Isn't Bowen too short to cover Labron?

Bowen is around 6-7. Certainly not a short guy at all. He is also a VERY physical defender, one that is likely to get under Lebron's skin.
