I like the dollar bill idea. I usually don't carry cash either except for the occasional ones to leave as tips for meals (at buffet type places, for the bus boys). I use my check card almost exclusively, except groceries, gas, and the occasional travel expenses which go on the AMEX to earn points.
Except recently a bunch of wedding expenses had to go on my credit card (like my dress ).
I don't remember where I heard it, but being an optimist doesn't always mean the glass is half full. What if the glass is half full of something like piss? Wouldn't that make you a pessimist?
I didn't realize me asking advice was moronic.... thanks though.
And i have a job Tacks, thanks. Anyways, thanks for the advice guys.
I was just starting this because i knew it would start a conversation and also having credit issues...it sucks...

Repairing your credit (if you are serious about it) requires will power. Honestly, one of the best things to do to repair credit cards is to go purchase a pair of sunglasses or, a shirt, something every month. Carry a very LOW balance and make payments. That will actually jump your score up as well. It is establishing payment history. As long as you pay for what you bought on a month to month basis, you are helping your score. Make sure to keep your balance on each card LOW.
Its the idiots that pay their cards down, and then charge $5k right back on it that this wont work for. If you are that type of person, use the freezer idea.
Are you suggesting that if you don't carry a balance you can't earn credit? I do not believe that to be true. I next to never carry a balance, never pay interest (rotate my card every 2-6 months) and my credit is outstanding.
Not at all Clak. What im saying is when trying to repair your credit you need to establish a good payment history. So you charge something then pay it off. If KH got a card and had no balance on it, then there is no payment history. Therefore not helping his shitty credit get better.
If you already have good credit, yeah you do not need to carry a balance. Your credit is already good.
