Yo Ugzug. I know your old and shit but. Two guilds out of the three cleared Vex Thal.
One of those guilds only did it once, But that was basically with 30 people on AHR to say they did it, Then they went to Elementals.

My favorite expirance with a raid.
When I was drunk and called tank switch on Aary and proceded to wipe Legendary Chaos thems was good times. We rezzed up Came back the next night and I was drunk again with my character and out of character, Quervo was strong that night ^^ and I tanked Aary somehow from 95% (Vince bite it and died) to 3% before I bite it as well ^^

Good times good times. ^^

I would have to say my first experience with an LoS raid. Myself, Jangos, Bzul, and Mudcrush were getting flags first day of PoP. Now AoW was no big deal back then but I was not LoS, or in a guild anything near that. Anyways there wasn't very many LoS folks online, mainly short on healers, so they asked if I wanted to join them. The most memorable part was not AoW himself, but the fact that our small group absolutely demolished that place en-route to clearing up to the arena. I had never seen one group start at the IZ and basically full run without stopping go to the arena. I had never seen shit die so fast.

2nd most memorable would have to be a VG raid I went on a long time ago where my IRL drunk self passed out right after seeing Inc Inny in hate. I woke up four hours later awake and in EJ. I was sure lucky that we had a wizzy in the group because I was the designated evacer for that group.

Any raid with Regret was fun for me :p I miss playing with all those guys. But mainly our first ST raids where all we wanted was a sword to drop and also our first Ssra raids. Those were the times when about 19,234 guilds were competing for ssra.

Decade didn't "own" VT... they couldn't - BoD had their mailing address changed to VT. Decade did clear it *once* - but they didn't own it.

So, once again, how did what I say differ?

We currently own VT and will be happy to sell it to <insert guild name here> when we are done in a few months. VT has some nice shit and a lot of it will still be nice until we are in time.

EPs are fun but no EP raid hands out Christmas presents like the money run~

VT is so boring it's amazing. But then again Im a cleric, and everything pre PoP is boring for a cleric.

With maybe the exception of AE encounters. Or ring events.

Lyion wrote:The other raid wasn't even one I was on.. It was going into Fear to clear the wall from a bad SoV raid. There were probably 500 corpses in Fear, and it was a push on my processor just to zone in.

Lol, that raid is legendary. After it was all said and done several people had lost two levels from expired rez timers.

My most memorable raid has to be my first raid as a recruit with Scions of Veeshan. There was about 30 people raiding the hole for someone's shaman epic piece and I had no clue what I was doing. I'd never been on a raid before. At that time, Ghazzkull seemed so uber as a main tank to someone like me who had never been in a guild before:)

Other then that my favorite memories were back when Me, Xandale, Durango and Naldaarr use to camp Chardoc back before PoP was released. We would camp the graveyard for some SK spell that sold for 40kpp then split the procedes between us. If we got bored we'd go set off the trap on the bridge and let Xandale try to CC all the mobs while me and Nald killed them all and Durango healed us with his finger on the evac button:) A few times we bribed some rogue into opening the castle door for us and killed the prince just for kicks...

It would take the 4 of us no time at all to fight down to the castle, get inside and kill the prince... We'd come back a few days later with the whole guild and it was a 5-6 hour raid... lol

Those were the days when EQ was fun:)

I was on that raid I think. I lost 1.5 levels and had 15-20 corpses inside from trying to zone in naked and recover our corpses. I'm pretty sure Sanctuary came and helped us after about 8 hours of trying.

I think it was a pick up raid. the last one I ever went on. =P

My all time favorite raid was the first time I was on a raid that took down Tunare.
Mayliu was created on the Vallon Zek server and that's where I played for 60 of my levels and 24 of my AA's. VZ is a PvP teams server and my pure evil guild spent a lot of time clearing the PoG named but killing Tunare never seemed within our grasp. Shortly after I moved to the Nameless, BoD cleared PoG and took down Tunare. That's the moment I knew that I had made the right choice in switching servers.
