Oh hell yeah.

I am taking my son to Warp tour this summer. Bad Religion is about the only band I recognize but I'm sure he'll have a good time.

Warped Tour has As I Lay Dying this year, and a few other metal bands that don't suck.

They are playing at BFD this year, but it is such a shitty venue. I'd rather listen to bad rips on a MP3 player than live there.

Where's BFD? Shoreline? If so. I concur with your detestation of the place.

Ya its at shoreline, fuck that, Shitty venue, crappy bay area people, even worse bay area teens, and warm beer.

I'd rather fuck rosy o'donnel for a couple hours and call it even.

Lousy acoustics, shitty seats, the lawn sucks because it's 8 miles from the stage, they rape you with concessions, etc. etc. etc.

Probably the best decently large place to see a band around here is either the Henry J Kaiser in Oakland or the Bill Graham Civic in SF. Warfield & Fillmore are good for smaller acts.

There's gotta be some economic reason that Shoreline gets all the shows it does. Hell, maybe the owner of shoreline has pictures of local event promoters doing sheep, I dunno.

I must say, it is nice to find someone here who knows the hell that is shoreline.

Actually, Lollapalooza was like the one show I saw at Shoreline that was OK. It helped that I stuck to the side stage for a lot of it. Was even the first time I ever saw Tool, when they played that side stage.

Shoreline could be a LOT better if they put some real speakers into the place so that you got good sound even out on the lawn, if they used real high def projections onto screens at the front of the lawn instead of the ultra-low rez onto those blanket-things, if they had a nice big flat space in the lawn as you approach the fence, and if the lawn wasn't all dirt and rocks.
