A lot of people (myself included) have spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on vitamins and supplementation. It irks me that they say Vitamin-X is great for you and prevents diseases a, b & c, etc. but then a few years later they come out with a study that says Vitamin-X can kill you. I don't see what's so stupid about that.

What you posted is a promotional ad......even the address has promo code in it, and its selling you something.

Well I'm not buying. :D The point is that vitamins aren't cracked up to what they claim to be.

I dunno, I think that there's basic vitamins that are important for people to have.. but a lot of companies cash in on people's fears and desires and sell them trash that they don't need, or in quantities that are absurd.

Yeah, people *should* be getting the vitamins they need through a healthy diet, but I have to take folic acid supplements for anemia, so stuff like that is occasionally necessary.

Vitamin containers say "these statements have not been evaluated by the food and drug administration." That should be the first red flag.

Well most people I know have been quickly moving over the past 5 years to no vitamins or supplementation and just do it through proper nutrition, that is too hard for americans. So go ahead and suck down the GNC brand with 100000% of your vitamin K so that is stores into your fat cells, and when you actually do loose weight it begins to thin your blood out making you more fucked up

Someone once told me (and it might have been you, Mop) that GNC vitamins, or anything from there for that matter, were the worst things you could do to your body.

Narrock, my point was not to put to much into a statement made by an advertisement was all. :boots:

Digestive enzymes are *supposed* to be good for you. Well, that's what they've been saying for a few years now. Who knows what they will say in 10 more years...

ok Kizzy, it's cool :)

You do realize that Vitamin K is a coagulant, which means that it can promote blood clots, not the thinning of blood. The part about fucking you up, though, is truth.
