Who Here Plays EQ2

Post by LostCause »

I want to get back into Everquest whether it would be EQ1 or EQ2 I haven't decided I have tried every MMO out there nothing seems to hold my interest like some good ol Crack unfortunately I was wondering about EQ2 though because I haven't even touched that game at all. I wanted to know if I should go with EQ2 over EQ1. My computer can run it so its no problem on there

Feedback would be nice and let me know which one you play either or both and give me the ingame name with server, as well as your take on EQ2 as far as in game play etc. because i already know whats expected of EQ. Is 2 quest based like WoW because if so then ill stay away from that as well as is the classes work off of a tree?. Would be greatly appreciated NT thank you

I play eq2. Butcherblock server.

it has some questing but not as intense as WoW. You have a selection of the different classes, the branch offs sorta speak are your aa lines, each able to shape your char a bit. For instance I play what is known as a combat mystic. A shaman with high dps and decent wards.
If you decide to come in you can send a tell t Macabrat in game.

I play EQ 2 now. I still play EQ 1 every once in awhile for shits and giggles. Xaiveir on Butcherblock.

EQ 2 has come a LONG way since it came out. Best MMO out there right now imho.

Oh, so you've never played WoW. Interesting.

WoW sucks ass. I can't see how anyone can stand that game for more than a month at a time.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Dang, I guess 9 million of us WoW players don't realize that the most successful MMO to date is full of so much ass-sucking.

I like the quests, and the PvP'ing... especially the PvP Battlegrounds. It's also fun to gank alliance as they fly into Area52. lolz

Successful doesn't equal good. If it did then fast food would be the best stuff on earth.

And if you believe that 9 million number I've got a Nigerian Uncle who looking for someone just like you to help him with an inheritance issue.

I think it's very good, and more importantly... it's fun. ;) Of course I'm comparing it to EQ1, EQ2, DAoC, Shadowbane, Neverwinter Nights, and from what I've heard people say about the debacle called Vanguard. Of course it all comes down to what your hubby just said... it's all what you like.

Well i believe i said IMHO....which means in my humble opinion (just incase you forgot.) So in my opinion, EQ 2 is much better than WoW.

I played WoW, i didn't like WoW. I found it very kiddy, and simple. So you may like it, along with 9 million others....i don't. Hence why i stated that i thought EQ 2 is the best out.

I think EQ2 is better than WoW is right now. They really fixed a lot of issues I had when it launched, which is when I quit EQ2. EQ2 is holding my interests right now and it's fun to play.
I'm Bugzilla on Butcherblock.

Ombra on Antonia Bayle. Also play alts Notte and Riffs.

I have 3 70's in WoW due to one fact. All my friends play there. The easiness of WoW and it's mechanics are fun concepts, but get tiring very quick. That is IMHO~

EQ2 to me is just a far superior game. Sure it has it's faults, but the game has come leagues ahead in recent months.

If anyone is looking for folks to play with, look me up on Antonia Bayle. I play in "Mistwalker" which is a guild of primarily Fires of Heaven message board people. We have a fairly large guild with folks at all lvl's.

Yeah, I actually didn't stick around long in LOTR. Went back to WoW for as long as I could stand it. Been back on EQ2 for a little while now just playing casually. I have a 38 Necro, 38 Dirge, and just rolled up a new Assassin last night.

Cool, let me know what times you play and I'll make an alt.

I have a 70 Warlock on Butcherblock, and a few mid 30s alts. I want to screw around with a few other classes, as well.

Fae isn't as good as the Neriak starting area, either.
