Godly EQII Video....

This has probably already been posted, but just in case...

Being a pretty big hater of SOE, I have to admit this game looks godly. The videos pique my interest much more than WoW. Who knows, maybe SOE will deliver a game that isn't a steaming pile, but i doubt it.

I would trade the fancy graphics for stick men if it would play through without bugs, broken quests. crashed clients, and linkdeath.

If I want fancy graphics, I'll watch Lord of the Rings, if I want to sit down to a fun (?) MMORPG, well, I'll sit and miss the old graphical days of EQ before Luclin and the rest of that lag parade.

I think that I shall wait 5 years before trying eq2. I mean, look at the difference in playing eq in 1999 and eq now. Much easier, right? Buy 5 or so expansions all in one for 30 bucks! LMAO..I'll give it a try in 2009.

Very impresive, I didn't think anything could ever bring back that feeling of emersion into a huge world that I first got playing EQlive. No game I have tried since has come close. Maybe this will be the one.

I will definatly be trying it to see if it's as impressive as it looks.

I also like the way they will be implimenting the archtype system. It looks like a good group will need all four archtypes. Not just tank, healer, chanter.

At first glance EQII looks infinitely more interesting than WoW.... Maybe SOE will unfuck themselves before release, and pinch a diamond instead of a shelaqued turd.

I didn't get in the WoW beta but I have been following both games and will probably try them both (especially if WoW comes out first).

I have seen video from both games and played around with the leaked WoW alpha.

Wow seems pretty nice but the game seems like it is leaning toward being bland. More like DAOC than EQ. (Not the graphics but the playstyle and the simple classes).

I think I got the EQlive thing from the EQ2 websight everyone calls it EQlive there. Probably to differenciate it from EQ2.

The only reason I posted in regards to your comment is because I said the exact same thing, "there has been no MMO made that has satisfied that feeling of when I first got into EQ"...and my opinion was valid until I started playing WoW.

Now its turned into a rather unheathly obsession. As it ecompasses 75% of my free time...similar to another game I played.

And I'm not talking about Leisure Suit Larry.

Saldara and I will try them both and play the better game. Which ever game we play we are hoping to hook up with some old friends.

They both look like they are eliminating zerg raids. And will be easier to play without having to dedicate 3hours a night just to get a group and get ready to start playing.

I just hope #1 the EQ skill based system isn't like SWG's skill base system, and #2, the graphics arn't so intense a 3 ghz, 1+ gig of PC3600 DDR ram and a modest 256 meg video card has trouble running the game.

If a computer with those specs has mass video lag, and considering I will not be able to return the game due to a blown CD key, I will promply video tape myself pissing on the install disk, which I will then light on fire and after that I will kill the first homeless person I find as a sacrifice.

If the homeless man has a homeless dog, I will kill that too.

WoW's simplistic class structure does not appeal to me one bit.

I agree though.. if EQII suxs... I'm going to sacrifice untold numbers of kittens.

i have seen WOW beta and there is something about the look of everything that kind of turns me off, it all looks so cartoonish, I like the fact that EQ incorporates more real looking characters with more human proportions and features, i don't know, I can't play another MMORPG if I am going to stay married so not like it matters

Frankly, the L2 movie of the Stone Dragon was by far more impressive.

This didn't inspire me much... I still plan on going to WoW if it doesn't suck. (WTB Beta Key)
