So far is the game of the year in my opinion. I was sitting at the opening scene watching the "movie" and just sat there for about 15 seconds and then was like "oh shit I'm supposed to be playing now!"

the 10 minutes or so that I got to play completely blew me away.

two worlds
mass effect
halo 3
rock band
etc

my 360 is going to be getting lots of use over the next 6 months or so.

no, it's still too early

360 is starting to get titles, but the wii probably has the most momentum atm

best selling console right now by a LOOOOONG margin is the DS

Wii is currently winning this gen console wars.

Most people will likely end up with a Wii + a P23 or an Xbox 360. In the US it'll be more with a 360 and Wii. In Asia, it'll be the PS3 and Wii...

DS has already won the handheld market. I know nobody with a PSP. I know nobody who games without a DS.

Wii is certainly not a gimmick. It's the best thing to hit console gaming perhaps ever. It appeals to non gamers, of which there are a lot more..

As a gamer, the wii is a gimmick, nothing more.

Sure, I had fun playing boxing, tennis, etc...

The system has nothing to offer someone who enjoys games and not gimmicks. Once the novelty of the controller wears off, it's left with a lackluster set of boring repetitive games with nothing innovative in them.

how's that for a license to print money

wii will pass 360 by christmas easily

Everyone likes to throw around the notion that WoW isn't the best MMO just because it sells the most. The same can be said about the console war.

I don't even consider the Wii at gaming console right now. You've got 2 choices, the 360 or the PS3.

10,130,000 + 8,850,000 + 3,610,000 = 22,590,000 (their math sucks for true)

45,360,000 + 22,340,000 = 67,700,000

still doesn't change the DS outselling everything else combined

From those numbers and from what I've heard from others, it looks like the company in trouble is Sony. Wii and DS are super strong for Nintendo. 360 has sold a bunch and has a ton of, what I would consider to be great games. It's the PS3 and PSP that are sucking eggs.

I just find it amazing that the company that ruled with the PS1 and PS2 can find themselves on the bottom so fast. I think I'll end up with a Wii + 360 like Lyion mentioned.

I agree. My only complaints with the 360 are the failure rates and paying for XBL. I see a time in the future when XBL becomes ad supported, which is a good thing.

The Wii is a next generation GAMING console.

The 360 and PS3 are aiming to be mini media center online gaming computers, and veer from the gaming console core principles in my opinion.

there is nothing NEXT GEN about the Wii. It's a gamecube with a gimmicky controller. That's it.
