EQ2 demo looks amazing
Despite the dweeb commenting, the game REALLY looks good.

However, before I play, I'll wait at least one month after release so I can get the game they intended to release properly. Sony has a track record, you know.
Hehe try 6 months to a year at least. SW:G has been out for a full year, and players are still griping about the same broken shit as they were back at release. EQ's no different. They're acting like they care about fixing things now with the new class correspondents, player summit, etc., but it won't wash.
Take a look at the monk list over at Monkly, if you havn't already. It's a sham.
Same shit, different day.
Also, the character models and their stiff animations just look like Luclin 2.0 to me. Have they learned nothing?
I think the resources they've wasted on voice acting would have been much better spent designing models and animations that didn't suck.
Their environments are pretty cool, but that's about the only nice thing I can say.
Once again: I am Jack's complete lack of interest.
For a complete lack of interest you sure know a lot about it.

It's called an informed opinion, Martrae. I keep up with new developments, but so far, to quote the wisdom of the magic eight ball, "All signs point to no". It's disinterest, not indifference.
Yeah, labbats, there are still a lot of unhappy people over on a board which, two years ago, didn't have anything more contentious to discuss than Iksar vs. Human. It's pretty sad.
I think they have a right to complain (to a point). It was completely unnecessary then, there's even less justification for it to still be in effect today, yet $oE has stated (just this weekend) that they 'have no intention of repealing it, and are not willing to discuss the matter further. Period'. That's an insult.
What I can't understand are the people who complain about how bad things are, yet continue to shell out their monthly subscription fees. Those people need to stop putting up* or shut up.

Youre a sad sad man thon, ditch the sandy vagina and quit your bitching.
The fucking game looks good to me, period. When Im beta testing it, and I discover it is shit or not...then Ill change my opinion.
But so far it's looking like it's going great

How do you like this spoiler, motherfucker? -Lyion

Thon, did you download and check out this?
I agree its not worth it to get pumped up in regards to product that isnt close to release, but my simple point that this video looked really cool remains.
Seriously, download it and say what you think about the video. I'm skeptical about the game, but I am impressed by this video, and it looks very good.

no i didn't DL the video, and don't plan on it. If there is one thing Sony is good at, it's bullshitting. by the file name i'm guessing that is an E3 video of eq2. hell, iirc the E3 before SWG was released they had a 'working' demo of the space combat to show off. the graphics were jaw dropping unbelievable. but the reality is it's over one year after swg went retail, and still no space ships.

congrats on having a single iota of common sense. i called you a tard for slobbering over sony's balls on some video and promised features.
playing a beta or the game, then deciding it's awesome is one thing. thinking it rules just because of some flashy graphics means you're a fucktard. do i have to break it down for you with single syllable words?
I was teasing, Treehorn. To me, disinterest is not caring enough to even learn the basics. Obviously, to you it means differently.

Hehe sorry, Martrae.
I was interested, at first. Interested enough to investigate the possibility of it being playable, but the more I have learned the less interested in playing it I have become (I must be holding out for some kind of miracle, that or I'm just kidding myself /shrug).
At this point, my opinion of the game is about as low is it can reasonably get without having heard some solid player feedback.
Judging solely from experience, with what we've witnessed with every expansion launch since Luclin, and the development/launch of SW:G, things aren't looking too good. "It's deja vu all over again", and that should be a major cause for concern. $oE never learns.
Actually, that's not entirely true. $oE have learned plenty. They've learned that, even after three years of operating along the exact same pattern, they can still pop out a half-baked shit sandwhich and people will still line up around the block in order to pay for a big, juicy bite.

I don't need no instructions to know how to ROCK!
heh just for an fyi monk mitigation is currently being evaluated.
kavhok - one of the devs of eqlive has posted that he believes that monk defensive abilities are lacking in the current game.
as to eq2 i know a few people who have played it. in their albiet limited playtime, they said it was pretty damn good.

No its not. They even posted today that they were done looking at monk mitigation and that they were doing nothing about it.
SOE has an awful track record, and I will have no part in their game. As far as I'm concerned, WoW is EQ2...I've been playing it recently, and its crack in pixel form, just like EQ used to be for me.

Thon- I have trademarked the word fucktard, you will pay me $10,000 in unmarked $20 bills.
I will be playing EQ2 because my ass is so far behind in EQ1 that I would like to start fresh and be at the top of the game, not trying to get to the top. It seems fun, but I am no multi-game player (EQ was only MMORPG I ever played) so I think it will probably impress me. Plus I still long for the old times when the bug were bugs, and they just didn't fucking bother people that much. They enjoyed the game for what it had to offer and not for the shortcomings that sometimes rear their ugly head. I played EQ1 early on, and until I was guilded and raiding never did the bugs bother me that much.
Zennish- Didn't you say you had a spot reserved in EotA? If so post on the website, I would like to bullshit with an old friend.
Well my 2 cents. Nice to see some old friends bullshitting.
