So my dogs won't stop whining

Postby The Kizzy » Mon Sep 10, 2007 11:54 am

and its driving me batty.

They are house trained, and usually we don't have much of a problem, sometimes though they slip up. It happens. Well, Its been raining here since this morning and both of my diva boy dogs refuse to go out from the covered porch when it is raining, so neither of them have peed since last night, and I have them in their cages, and they just won't stop whining.

I'm thinking of locking them in the garage so I cant here them, but its so damn hot and humid.

Don't let your dogs train you.. that's where the problem lies, those dogs think they have control over you and they do. Them not going to the bathroom is tremendously unhealthy, you need to let them out, whether they want to go out or not.

I let thenm out, and wouldnt let them in for an hour. They sat on the back porch scratching to come in the whole time. They are still in their cages, it stopped raining, so I am going ot let them out again, but since the grass is wet, I doubt they will do their business.

Walk them out to the grass and get them used to it.. then leave him on the grass and stand at the door waiting. When they do their thing and come in, reward him with a small dog biscuit.

leash + walking them while you are in a jacket may work too.
