Has she gone through a training/therapy? I sympathize with your parents troubles with her, but that poor dog to have to be that scared to behave that way. How old is she now? I'm sure she can be coaxed into better behavior though to you it probably seems hopeless as it's been 2 years already, but abuse victim dogs aren't lost causes, they just need the proper care.. sometimes loving them alone isn't good enough

well then your parents have had her for 2 years? so basically 1/3 of her life has been abuse? I would definitely take her to a training course or something of the sort.. there are heaps of programs out there for abused dogs. She's still very young and at her peak for learning things.
