Honestly, I'd love to fuck a hell of a lot of women I see every day, but never even bother trying. It's just not worth the effort to me. I'm cheap and lazy. Ok, I should explain the situation here. Penang, Malaysia is an island that resembles certain aspects of highschool. Everyone knows everyone. I can't meet someone that doesn't know someone that I know. If you fuck around a lot you quickly get a reputation for it. With the guys it's a great reputation. With the girls it's obviously not - player is what most girls will think of you. No matter what club I go to I see all of the same people.

If a girl hits on me and shit happens then great, but I'm not going to go out looking to get laid. If I hit on a chick that has some Chinese gangster boyfriend I'll have a problem, which is not an uncommon thing to happen to a lot of white guys here. I have to be somewhat careful as to how I act when going clubbing. White guys are an easy target as it's assumed a white guy won't have backup (fights here are never one on one unfortunately). I care about my reputation so I handle myself accordingly.

Now if I go on vacation it's a whole different story =)

What it comes down to in the end is that I'd rather be in a meaningful relationship. I'm not looking to get married any time soon, but I enjoy getting to know a girl and spending quality time with her. My earlier statement wasn't completely accurate - I definately do have the drive - I just keep myself in check as there are other things I care about more. Getting laid is and never has been a problem.

People today crave constant fun, and if they're not having fun - they're quick to drop and run to the next best thing. I've said it before and I'll say it again - you cannot get to know someone well enough, over a 20 minute cup of coffee discussing such frivolousness like each other's favorite color and they last good book the other read - to fully decide if the other is someone they could really be with. But, that's exactly how it works in our fast food, instant gratification culture. If they're not head over heals after said cup of Joe, they're not interested and move on. They're not willing to invest the time and effort it takes to explore the potential of CHEMISTRY. Chemistry is what matters most. Not the adolescent spark that you should have left behind in your days of acne creams and driver's permit. But, alas, people are not only to freaking stupid to understand this, but they're also lazy. Putting forth an effort? Why that's blasphemy!

What's even more disturbing is that no one is willing to explore the potential for chemistry with ONE person at a time. No, they insist on being able to date multiple people at the same time - as though they were shopping for a head of lettuce.

Make no mistake - women are not as keenly sharp about such matters as love as they have us believing. Not even remotely.

As our population continues to explode people are left with more and more choices. People can be more and more picky. Is that a bad thing? I suspect to a degree it is. Because when a woman has 50 guys to select from she will focus more on the physical, the monetary and the superficial than she will with true compatibility.

Most people could care less about companionship anymore. They could care less about true compatibility. They don't care about building a solid relationship based on chemistry and real love. Why should they? They can move from guy to guy, from girl to girl... all the while satisfying their own instant gratification and self-serving needs.
