Have you considered that it might not be a temporary situation?

I didn't think Harper has four year terms. However, he's done great things with Canada's economy. Bully for him!

personally? or politically?

I like some of the things he's done (more support for our military) but I really don't think he's done enough in terms of debt reduction when we're producing a huge surplus

There are a few places here where stores have started to charge the US price on things.

I flat out refuse to buy certain things in Canada right now. Chapters, a company that basically had the same reputation as Wallmart with books. They'd strong arm every other smaller book company out of business because of their low prices. This weekend they took out a full page add in the local paper and they actually had the nerve to justify their prices being 30% higher for Canadian books because their stock is sometimes 6 to 9 months old.

I am beyond outraged by this and will only buy books online through US distributers. We are still paying 15$ for MMO subscriptions and DVDs are also about 20% more.

Until Canadian business' don't get a handle on things I will gladly buy from American companies.

Mininova sucks ass. Demonoid was so well organized, and all the other torrent sites are a chaotic mess.

You might want to hold onto those quarters. You might be able to buy a house with them soon.
