Not to sound negative at all, but... do you have any proof that your dad designed the first microprocessor and ram and rom? I've just never heard of him, and surely an accomplishment like that would have earned him some pretty susbtantial notariety, yes?

Just because he helped design it doesn't necessarily mean you'll find his name listed anywhere.

Kahar's dad helped design unix as a way to play games at work (for ATT). It wasn't until they gave it to some colleges to play with that it became known. You won't find him listed among the designers though.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

True, but he said
he also designed the first microprocessor and ram and rom
. That's a pretty bold claim. That's like saying your dad is Bill Gates or Steve Wozniak.

Give a brief synopsis... it might be a good book for my grandfather, his cancer is back and he doesn't want to fight it any longer.

Janet, why do you come in here spazzing-out on me right away? Don't you have anything better to do then to start shit with people? Yes... I fully read, understood, and comprehended his entire post. My post was very mellow, civil, and diplomatic. I only asked a question that I bet 90% of the NT was thinking. Chill out.

I'm not spazzing, but it is obvious to the upper 10% of the board, which you are obviously not included in, that his dad creating that stuff was an inside joke.

p.s. he asked you not to ask, why must you be so disrespctful?

I'm not sure which is more hopeless, the fact that you are taking all of this seriously or the fact that you...........nevermind, that one is too easy.

the history of the microproccessor is insteresting as is ram and rom

lee boysel and my dad developed them while working forfairchild corporation and were never patented

the first commercially available microprocessor was the AL1. i have a pic of my dad with a picture of the scematic of the chip around here somewhere

lee gets the credit but my dad claimed to have done most of the logic circuitry

the company that lee boysel started was called four phase systems. my dad was the head designer.

yeah you wont find him in any history books any more than you will find the names of the guys who invented stuff for edison

lee isnt a slouch heck he even visited when my dad was in the hospital. my dad wasnt exactly fucked over. he was pulling down 6 figures a year back in the 70s. my dad told me a story that this guy offered him a job in a start up but my dad turned him down. the guy was Gordon Moore

btw the book is religeous in nature. it tries to prove the bible chronology is mathmatically correct

unfortunatly for any layman the fuzzy math is way over their head. i read it and worked out the figures myself and the numbers just dont add up. had to get it published though... i promised
