Just curious. Post the state you're voting in.

Can someone explain the primary voting process? I've heard that I need to register as a Republican, but that's about it. Where do I go, when do I go, etc.? All new to me.

NC primaries are too late in the year to make a difference.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

To vote in the Republican primaries, you need to be registered as a Republican. (in most states, anyway).

Personally, I hate the whole primary system. It always turns out we end up picking the nominees for both parties based on just a few states (Iowa, New Hampshire, etc.) cause by the time it gets to the later states, everyone else has dropped out, etc. We SHOULD just have them all on the same day, or at worst over no more than a couple weeks for the entire country.

I agree with Arlos. I think it's idiotic that New Hampshire and Iowa, two dink POS states should hold more weight than others.

They both want to fight to keep their importance in Kingmaking, but it's nice to see other states are fighting to not allow them the same level of importance as before.

How in the hell can New Hampshire have a state law that makes it the first primary in the nation?

Have them all on the same day. No issues, no problems.

addendum: It's not like there isn't enough time to campaign nationwide. We've had this crap ongoing since January. A year is enough time to campaign. Have the primaries all on February 1st, then prepare for the general election.
