I've been there a bunch of times due to having relatives living on Kauaii, and I strongly recommend checking out that island. It has some of the best scenary in the world. Many movies have been filmed there, like Outbreak, Jurassic Park, and the new Indiana Jones. Another great thing abuot Kauaii is that there's very little pollution and not much city light, which makes for spectacular stargazing. It's the only place in the world that I've been able to see the milky way colors with my naked eye, not to mention far more stars than ever before.
There's tons of waterfalls, thick forest/jungle, etc. It rains pretty much daily (usually in the morning, and afternoon weather is always perfect), and you can watch the water falling down off the mountains in the distance.
There are caves along the north shore that are only accessible at low tide, and some of the mountain views from the shores are second to none. Incredibly colorful, clear, rigid... Difficult to put into words.
The only cool thing I remember about the Big Island is seeing flowing lava and black sand beaches. I don't remember Oahu at all, except for the Honolulu airport. Ooo, one of the inter-island airlines serves this really good pineapple-orange-guava drink. Delicious stuff.
