Burning .avi files to DVD halp question

Postby Narrock » Sun Dec 09, 2007 5:06 pm

I want to burn a couple movies I have in .avi (no, not prOn) to DVD. Yes I have burnable DVD's and a DVD burner. What I need is a free download of a good burning software. Any suggestions? Thx~

And if you say "Nero" I hope you get dropped into the fiery pit of hell. ;)

I use Nero too. I got a free legitimate copy with my PC.

Nero is frustrating. I tried burning a movie that's only 102 minutes long. I popped in a blank DVD to burn it on. After Nero got done reading the movie (which took the same amount of time as watching it... wtf /lame) then it said that to burn it requires a blank CD-RW. So I put one of those in (wtf?????????????) then it said "the disk you are trying to use does not have enough space."

FUCK NERO.

Never had a problem anything like that with my version of Nero. Dunno what's up with yours.

PEBKAC error, I'm sure of it.

haha it is neither. Nero just sucks, and I'm glad to report that it is now removed from my hard drive.

I've used Nero for like 10 years. I don't burn a whole lot of CD's though except for making copies of my DJ mixes or making ISO's for work.

lol just google "Nero sucks" and you'll see about 10+ pages of people who all agree that it's a pile of shit. It has problems decoding DVD's and cannot decode many movies, it creates errors on the copied disc (if it can even copy one) making the copy unviewable, etc. lol

Let me know when you find something better than Nero.

Also, given everyone here who is tech savvy really likes Nero, that should tell you something.

I like Nero...does that make me tech savvy?
