I'm looking to get a sound card that is good for gaming but also if I want to do a media center in the future, that I'll be able to move it over to that.
I was looking at this card:

...but I like the cards that have the optical out that I can go straight to an AVR with.
Any recommendations on a card that's (hopefully) less than 80 bucks but will provide good sound for gaming as well as music/movies. I also see some that have the SPDIF output port on the internal portion of the card instead of one of the external plugs. How does that work?
Thanks

What speaker setup are you using?

Re: Sound Card Help
Currently I just have a Klipsch (sp?) 2.1 on my computer, but I have a 5.1 setup on my AVR. I will probably be doing an AVR upgrade by the end of next year as well, which I'm sure will be more friendly to PC inputs.
