Butcherblock server

Postby Narrock » Thu Dec 20, 2007 4:43 pm

Well, I'm glad I re-subscribed to EQ2 because I am having lots of fun, but this server seems so empty. I saw an average of one other player per hour for 5 hours last night. I know it's good to not be in an overpopulated server because you can get more done, but it's also nice to see other players too. What's the deal with this server?

Oh, and thanks again Dammuzis. He kicked me down some coin to get started with. :P

how does EQ 2 compare to EQ as far as leveling and stuff, is it pretty much the same game with better graphics or what?

i ask because i might be getting a computer that can handle an mmorg so i am wondering about WOW or EQ or EQ 2, my primary prereq is that it is NOT a huge timesink, so i am leaning way towards WOW just because i am familiar with it

MMO by definition has to be a time sink

I don't think you can possibly make a long term MMO type game that you could play 15 mins here or there and be fully successful

They are both timesinks, and both are fun games. I just need a break from WoW. I find that leveling in EQ2 is similar to EQ, but with better graphics (just like you said).

I enjoy playing Lord of the Rings Online and it's not near the timesink that EQ was.

Mindia if you're looking to stick with EQ2, you may want to play on the RP server. It has the healthiest environment and i've never been anywhere where at least 10 other people weren't around.

RP server is having major issues atm. It's extremely overloaded.

I'm surprised he even communicates with anyone. He types with two fingers like after 10+ years on a computer he still doesn't know where the keys are.
