MIne was pretty routine, I think. He let me know for a long time, had a little trouble with #2 but after he'd hide in the corner and be shy about it I just kinda looked at him on my knees one day and said "everybody poops and when you do it in your big boy pants I don't enjoy cleaning it. so tell Mommy when you have to go so we can keep your bottom clean without poopy on it."

the next time he went in his big boy pants and hid from me I let him walk around in it for a bit. I got on my knees and said "I don't like cleaning your poopy bottom and you don't like having poopy on your bottom so you have to tell me from now on."

then I made him wait a little bit and we bathed him. he was cool after that.

When I tell her I dont like cleaning poop from her pants, and that I want her to tell me when she has to poop so I can take her, she uses that teenager tone and says "okaaaay". Drives me up the freaking wall.

so we bought alex some super mario underwear and told him that if he poops on mario he'll never get to play mario again

it's from a movie. if you didn't see it, you won't get it. It's toddlers talking about going potty in the toilet as opposed to wearing diapers...and the one kids' parent told him that the toilet man wants his pee pee and poo poo. you have to see it I guess..

I saw the movie and thought that part was creepy then.
