Console multiplayer RPG
I am looking for an RPG to play online with friends on either the 360 or the Wii. I know Conan comes out in May but are there any Baldurs Gate, Dungeons and Dragons Heroes type games that allow multiplayer over WAN?

There's nothing on the Wii.
Xbox ihas Final Fantasy and PSO.
PS2 has EQOA.
It surprises me someone hasn't jumped all over this, but I think MS may be against it, given the huge 360 failure rate, and the amount of time MMO players spend online.

I am really surprised that Dungeon Siege was never ported to the Xbox. It's an MS game and seems like a perfect candidate. If I could buy EQ but tailored for single player or small group and ported to a console, I would be in heaven.
I don't really want an MMO. I want more of a coop small group type game like Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance or Dungeons and Dragons Heroes, Dungeon Siege etc.

Yeah, I really enjoyed NWN, and Baldurs Gate is possibly my all time favorite game. Dark Alliance would seem a winner, even if its just a minor upgrade.
I'm not sure why Dungeon Siege never made it to the 360.
A small customizable hack and slash game would be great. Heck, I'd take it on the PS3, since there are no Live hoops to jump through there.
Wii co op sword game with the controllers would be a blast.

Those Champions of Norrath games I beta tested weren't too bad on the PS2.

Re: Console multiplayer RPG
I have a Wii and a 360. I don't want to pay $$ per month on top of LIVE to play either...

the new advanced wars for DS supports multiplayer over WFC and has built in voice chat

9ft HD screen and DD5.1 surround > DS. I'm sure it's fun and all but my DS gets played when I don't have access to my living room. That's about it.
Re: Console multiplayer RPG
DS at least has games that kinda fit the bill, as opposed to all the other systems
Children of mana was kinda fun multiplayer, no voice chat tho, afaik
