Has anyone done a standalone, NON MMO version of EQ yet that you can host on your own PC?

i don't think so

with 2 boxes, you could run a dedicated server and connect to that

You can definitely host it on the same computer, but it's a pain in the ass.

I did this back in the day when the emu was still brand spanking new. Now there's so much documentation on it making it simple.

The same guy who made SoD also created an offline edition.
