John Edwards calls it quits

Down to a 2-man race for the Democrats. Lets just hope they keep it at a higher tone than they degenerated to recently. That kind of campaign helps no one but the Republicans.

I dunno, I actually have gotten to kinda like Obama, in general. If he wins the nomination I can happily go vote for him with a clear conscience. If Hillary wins it, I'll probably still vote for her over McCain, because of McCain's hardline pro-war stance, but I'll be holding my nose as I do it.

See, and I don't think the dems are done for at all

In fact, I think the only shot the republicans have of getting the vote is a miracle comeback from Paul or *maybe* McCain. I think if Romney gets the vote the republicans are done for. (I pray that happens too, because the last thing we need is someone like Romney)

I can deal with McCain aside from his war-mongering, but being as that's the hottest issue currently, it's enough to make me cringe.

I really, really like Obama for the democratic ticket.

It's an interesting election year, to be sure

The only one that has a chance of beating Hillary or Obama is Paul. The MSM know this too, which is why they've marginalized him so much.

Honestly, will there even be much change if Obama becomes the president? I hear the change word over and over and over again, but never hear anything specific. What will change? What wont? I've become a bit of a pessimist when it comes to government and politics, sadly.

I got a call from an Obama supporter/worker yesterday, asking me if I'll be attending the caucuss. Bleh.

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Every time he speaks, all I hear is "Hope hope change hope change future hope change change future hope children change hope hope future change." I've yet to hear him give ANY actual idea or specifics as to what changes he will actually be bringing about. He's running entirely as a personality rather than from ideology.

Republicans everywhere are making the royal mistake of "anyone but Hillary!" but they'd better be careful.

Obama is an excellent public speaker, a very handsome and upstanding man. I have respect for him. He is too liberal, I do not agree with him on any of the issues and I think after four years of him, we'll be crying "Jimmy Carter!!" all over again.

Do we need change? Obviously. But not that kind. I will not vote for Obama.

I don't think so, honestly. I think ANY president we get will be VERY careful to not swing too far in either direction. GWB's unpopularity and the fear or terrorism, financial collapse, etc will keep both Reps and Dems somewhere near the middle.

I was gonna say, "when you pop your head out of the sand every so often to see what's going on we'll see" but you and I are friends. so I won't say that.

No, seriously, that's your opinion and that's cool of course. It just happens to be my opinion that if Obama is elected, we'll likely end up in a similar situation. Of course I could be wrong. We haven't even elected yet, so it's speculation.

haha, well good thing you didn't say it then. Similar to Jimmy Carter you are saying? You mean stuck with a big pile of shit from the previous administration? Yeah, you are probably right but that's gonna happen regardless of who is elected. :)

I heard on a newstalk program yesterday that McCain was a "substandard pilot" according to military documents, and he fucked up 3 aircraft due to his own incompetence, and it was his own fault he got shot down and became a P.O.W. Not that's some funny shit.

His record is sealed so that's all bullshit propaganda. Not that I am a McCain fanboi but anyone who goes after someone's military record based on complete hearsay is an asshat of the 9th degree.

That could very well be, but I'm no McCainiac... so I wouldn't cry about it even if it was true.

What's real asshatery is comparing ones sons Mormon volunteer work to serving in the military. Not, even, fucking, close.

Personally, I'm glad Limbaugh, Coulter, and the rest of the douche bag self important types don't support Mccain. It's not like any of them did jack or shit for America, and they certainly never served in the military.
