Barack Obama just called me.

Postby Lyion » Tue Feb 19, 2008 9:27 pm

Urging me to vote early for him!

Actually, it was a recording, but it was amusing.

Last election I was hit by a ton of these. We aren't even in the general election and I'm getting pummeled with ads and phone calls.

For the morons that support Obama, can you name ONE thing that he's done? Can you explain what "changes" he's planning on making - you know - in every fucking speach he makes he preachs about "change..." ok WHAT CHANGE?

    Here's some ground rules.

    A. You can't do a quick google then post like you actually have a clue - because chances are if you support Obama we already know you don't (have a clue).

    B. See A.

So, off the top of your head, without cheating - if you're going to vote for Obama - for the most power position in the world - what are your reasons?

Same with Hillary - we keep hearing about all this "experience" - WHAT FUCKING EXPERIENCE? Sleeping in the White House for 8 years doesn't qualify you to be president. Crying on que doesn't qualify you to be president.

So I ask you moron Hillary supporters - without cheating now - tell us what she's done (specifically) that makes YOU think she'd be an excellent president.

By the way - McCain isn't a whole lot better - he's a liberal pretending to be a conservative.

    Ron Paul for prez..

He has been against the Iraq war from the start. Which you can't say for Clinton.

In my opinion Iraq War stance outweighs any other issue.

It would take you literally 10 seconds to find his webpage. Every "change" he talks about is clearly outlined there.

Obama has done nothing of merit. He lacks the experience needed to lead a nation. Most people are voting for him because he's charismatic and an excellent orator ONLY. NEWSFLASH: those aren't "votable" characterisitcs. Only a complete RETARD would vote for someone because they look good and speak very well. Hitler was charismatic and an excellent orator too. Obama's allegiance is to Africa. Oh yes, there is plenty of evidence of him helping certain leaders of Africa. And he's a socialist and will FUCK this country up like you've never seen before.

And Kramer, STFU. I never liked Huckabee, and I'm glad he's losing to McCain. If you think my religion is so important to me with who gets elected, then why do you think I voted for a Mormon? I'll tell you. Because I don't give a rat's ass what Romney's belief is in the afterlife. He would have been the best person for the job... I base that on his success as a businessman, his vision for America, his Conservative values, and more.

Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, which is attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), stated, "[T]his is a major American presidential candidate whose church that he belongs to -- says he's proud to belong to -- says that their allegiance goes to Africa before it goes to America." But while the Trinity website contains a "10-point Vision" that calls for its congregation to make "a non-negotiable commitment to Africa," there is no statement on the website that such a commitment supersedes a parishioner's commitment to the United States.

I think the average opinion the general public has of politicians vs. Obama's lack of experience as a politician is a good thing for Obama.

Everyone who hasn't been a President actually lacks the experience, so that's a terrible argument.

My issue is Obama has no military background and really low experience in foreign affairs. That can be overcome by plopping someone like Wesley Clark as his VP, and putting a strong Secretary of State in place.

He would be last on my choice of Mccain, Hillary, and Obama, but that is moreso due to a difference in philosophy and opinion on issues. However, I think he's a good man, and I think he'd move to the center, as did President Clinton.

I don't give a shit what his propaganda filled web page says.

      THIS is what matters: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/cong ... key-votes/

What the bubble headed dimwit on the evening news says, what his web page says, what the guy next to you in the gym says - does not matter. If you really want to get to know those bidding for a run - LOOK AT THEIR VOTING RECORD. THAT is tell all.

This goes for ALL the cand's.

This is the problem I have with the American voter of today. People are more interested in googling goatse then they are with doing a little actual research on the people they are going to vote for, for the most important seat in the world.

I HATE Hillary Clinton, but if you've done your research, you KNOW where she stands on issues, you're familiar with her voting record, you feel you have a real understanding of the type of person she is - then good - go vote for her. But if you haven't the first clue of what the fuck she stands for and all you know is what CNN tells then do the country a favor and keep your fat, stupid, cheeto eating, American Idol addicted ass home and stop fucking up the country with your poorly cast votes - dumbfuck.

I googled "Obama's voting record" and within 2 seconds I had a slew of sites to choose from. It really wasn't that hard.

THIS election is going to prove to be one of the most imporant presidential election this country has seen in decades. With our jobs being shipped over seas by the thousands, prices rocketing, major corporations out of country, the dollar being weak and getting weaker, a flood of illegals polluting our country.... if there is any time this country needs the voting pool to be educated about their choices IT IS NOW.

But, the average modern American is fat, stupid and lazy - so much so in fact they'll not lift one fat finger to do even the slightest bit of research.

America does deserve the freedom it has. Not a problem - within our life time this country will be a socialist nation.

And we'll have ONE, yes ONE, source to blame - shitty parenting.

Oh and how about answering the question there Toss? I didn't ask you to point to his web page - which by the way does NOT talk about the changes he's "going to make" - it just simple spews the same Democratic rhetoric that we've heard and read for years...

So, what are these magical changes he's talking about. Seriously, if you know share with us... I for one am curious.

So says he. He wasn't even in his current position when the initial war bill was proposed. So, he can say all he wants that he was opposed to it - that means shit to me - if the war were popular right now - he could easily say he was for it from the start. If there isn't a vote cast by him on the issue - it's meaningless drivel.

By the way - opposing the war doesn't make him a qualified cand... the guy who empties the trash can in my office opposes the war - does that mean he'd make a good president? Hardly.

So, explain why he'd make a good president.

Read the fucking website dumbass. He tells you exactly what he plans on doing right on it. Every issue has a plan and a time line laid out. Read the thing and you'll see where he stands on the issues and exactly what he plans on doing to "change" each situation.

Troops out of Iraq, take back tax cuts on the uber rich and put more money back in to public education and an affordable health care plan, yada yada yada,

Sounds like my man so why don't you fuck off, douchebag. You certainly aren't educating anyone here fuckface so why don't crawl back under the door of whatever toilet stall you were soliciting man sex in and spare us your holier than thou lecture.

I agree that, as a whole, our national voting population is woefully ignorant of not only the candidates running for office (all offices BTW) but also of the size and scope of our current political system. I'm not talking about basic knowledge of the branches of government; I'm talking about what and where our government is involved. It is only when you add up the Federal, State, County, and City governments do you get the picture of what I'm talking about. And that is just what you can find. Never mind all the secret bullshit that goes on behind closed doors. The citizens of this once great Nation have a frightening lack of real knowledge and it's going to end up destroying us. To add insult to injury, the vast majority of us will look around when everything unravels and ask "WTF?!" when we could have, SHOULD HAVE known all along and done something about it.
best bet is to just figure out who Diekan is backing, and vote for the other person
Ironically enough, Tikk, a surprising number of voters in this country use that type of system (or a variation of it) in determining whom to cast their vote for. That is why you have so much energy being spent by all the major candidates to broadcast endorsements. It's also why McCain's group has kept an arms length from the firebrand right wing politicos like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Anne Coulture. They are most likely hoping that moderates who are on the fence in swing states like Ohio and Florida will feel more comfortable with McCain because he's NOT backed by those far-right wackos.

Diekan is spot on his assessment of our current voting populaces knowledge. Somehow, in your attempt to goad him, you've simply made his point.
