So you posted that as a knock on me or because your feeble mind can't comprehend anything short of your own sheltered opinion? Maybe I should change the conversation to something about puppies or cake and maybe you'll get it.Evermore wrote:What pisses people off is that he does this not to provoke thought, he does it to cause shit.
And Ever, regardless of why, the fact of the matter is, you still have to have some ammo in order to respond to his stuff. Personally, any thread where yall are trying to convince something to Zan makes for a good read. Yeah, he's devil's advocate on every issue but like I said, we need that type of person to make sure everyone's opinions are legit and not "Dur, cuz stone cold sed so"
Now, the extreme defense of black people thing, I don't really get that but hey =P
You can play devil's advocate without being a asshole. Zanchief goes out of his way to start shit. thats the issue. not him having an opposite opinion. There is nothing wrong with taking another position, thou zanchief rarely has anything to back up his own position, except twisting around what is being said. I have had plenty of discussions with people that have opposing viewpoints without them acting like a pathetic board troll.
For you

Stop interfering with my interfering then, comrade!
I've noticed when I fuck with Zan you can't help but rush to his defense and protect him. There must be some secret man love Canadian thing going on. Hopefully a few more years of Harper will cure the Canadian protectionism!

Funny you should say that because I don't think you've ever had an argument that wasn't made of confetti. Anytime anyone contradicts anything you say, you fly into an irrational frenzy and attack them personally because you're unable to defend yourself. I don't mind, personally, but let's not pretend otherwise.

It's a done deal. Obama is going to win the dnc nomination now that Farrakhan gave two big thumbs up.
"This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better," he said. "This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."

So what if he's wearing a turban? That illegal in this country now? The Sikh guy from India at the nearest 7-11 wears a turban. Should he not get to vote?
He's not muslim, and has never been muslim, and even if he was, why would that disqualify him for running for president?
Sorry, Mindia, but I fail to see any negative here whatsoever.

Why is he an asshole again?
Re: Barack Obama just called me.
Yet he refuses to wear a lapel pin of the American flag because he feels it's a symbol not of patriotism but a substitute for it.

Someone should have told these guys it's just a substitute for the real deal.

That's right Lueyen. I'm glad to see there's at least two of us here who aren't blinded by the barry osama media hype.

He won't put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem, either. Whatever, some of you can be fooled if you will, and by no means do I think he wants to fool anyone. I'm just sure it's gonna happen that way.

Re: Barack Obama just called me.
So, wearing tacky costume jewelry is now a requirement in order to be patriotic? I missed that memo, apparently. Must be with the one about the changes to the TPS reports.
I have never seen one picture of, say, Eisenhower in civilian garb with a US flag lapel pin. It certainly was not part of his everyday attire and accoutrements. You going to call him unpatriotic because he didn't wear one?
Talk about an utterly retarded complete non-issue. To even attempt to conflate wearing a lapel pin when running for president to raising a flag by troops in the middle of a battle over a newly conquered major objective is ludicrous to the point of absolute absurdity. (Oh, and you do know that that picture was staged, yes?)
Last I checked, there were no material requirements involved in loving ones country and being patriotic. Faddish jewelry is not, nor should it ever be anything resembling a requirement. What's next, a requirement to wear stars & stripes underoos? Please.
The whole "controversy" is utterly contrived, completely a politically driven smear campaign, and such a complete non-issue that I cannot begin to fathom how any rational individual would perpetuate it.
