Odd, one would think a Canadian, who has never met me nor likely ever will, knows exactly fuck-all about my personality.
Oh, that's right. You don't...

Re: Today is a beautiful day.
what the heck does being canadian have to do with being able to gauge a personality?
you always go into some defensive corner with your fists up screaming "YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME." we know all we can about you because you're positively consistent on this board. by all logic, the assumption can be made that any assertions of your personality are exclusive to the one you exhibit on the board.
based on that, you are not a nice person. I don't care what you do in your real life - as far as the internet socialization world goes, you are a mean, spiteful, judgmental, condescending, and unjustifiably arrogant knows-it-all-without-knowing-anything jerk.

Meaning he's not even in the same country and so has never met me and never will. I didn't read the rest of your post because quite simply your opinion isn't worth the five seconds it would take to do so.

i'm american and i haven't met you and never will - again, canadian has nothing to do with the price of tea in china.
you're lying - you read my whole post, had nothing good to respond with, so instead reverted to your 'hurr how do my nuts taste, you're not worth my time' defense. typical harrison rhetoric.
you know what i love about you, harrison? it's that you're never surprising. everything you say is redundant and expected. i could have a whole conversation with myself pretending to be you and i wouldn't miss a beat - it's pretty neat to know a person who's so predictable and insignificant that you could just fully substitute imaginary conversation without losing any value.

Jeez Leah, making fun of Finawin is the best way to cure a sour mood.
Re: Today is a beautiful day.
meh idk i guess i don't have enough harrison angst built up to get any cheer from a yelling match. *shrug* he rarely offends me personally (though occasionally, yes, he does) so i don't really pay much attention to all the mudslinging and whatnot. hearing positive, uplifting things like someone enjoying a spring day make me feel better than taking each other down, you know?

It's a beautiful 78 here today. Got all the windows and doors open and the fans blowing. I love it!

Re: Today is a beautiful day.
give it a few more years, leah
i didn't reach my harrison breaking point until about 6 months ago, and i've been here for 6 or so years >.< others have been here even longer. you can only take so much before you realize he's just hopeless.
try to stay unbias, try to be nice, try to defend, and there comes a point where there's just no more justification for the defense and passiveness. i mean for pete's sake, it was ndaara who threw the first dart, and ndaara never says anything negative to anyone.
it feels good to kick the guy who's constantly kicking everyone else.

Re: Today is a beautiful day.
Harrison doesn't bother me and I've been here nearly as long as you Gyps.
The 5 pages of bitching about how worthless he is whenever he posts anything does get on my nerves, however. It's worse than anything he could possibly say and I could repeat all your posts without any of you being here to contribute, too. What does that say about the topic and the predictability of NT posters?

no one as a person bothers you, though - you're a mom, you're used to it!
I hardly harp on him for 5 pages anytime he posts something. when he's up for perfectly reasonable discussion, I am too. it's when he starts getting on his high horse insulting the entire board that I jump on his back. look at the thread history - ndaara made the comment, a couple other people said something, and he blamed the whole board, said it wasn't him it was everyone else, and alluded to saying that people on this board aren't good people. it's the negativity that radiates from him that fuels more negativity.
most people (not all, obviously) can have cordial conversations and while there are a lot of heated debates because people come from different walks of life, they're able to state their feelings and why they feel that way. this is something he's proven incapable of - it's always 'if you weren't stupid you would know this' or 'I don't have to tell you.' it's these single sentence negative responses like that that have earned him the poor reputation he has with the majority of the board. you don't have a problem with him, and that's great - but you are the exception, and not the rule.
it's just like Mindia a couple years back - his attitude was horrible, he had nothing nice to say, and a majority of people got annoyed with him. he took a hiatus, came back, and while I don't agree with all of his viewpoints he is totally revamped in the way he treats people and addresses issues and therefore people respond to him with a lot more respect overall.
as you'll recall, he came around a month or so ago and was contributing to conversations without being rude, and I even commented to him that it was a refreshing change to see that side of him - people were able to converse with him, he conversed back, and I don't think during that lovely couple of days that anyone bothered to insult him because there was no reason to do so. of course, a week later he was back to the harrison we've grown to love to hate.
respect given is respect earned, and until he learns to give it it's not likely that multiple pages pointing out what a dumbass he is are going away anytime soon.

Re: Today is a beautiful day.
I remember actually defending him from Tossica once about a year ago because I thought a lot of the criticism was unwarranted. If I remember correctly they were giving him a hard time for going back to school, or delaying going back to school, or something. A few days later he goes on this epic south park style rant about Canada and I realized being nice to him just wasn't worth it. I'm not sure he's said a single logical statement since then.
It’s not our issue, Martrae. He earned it.

that's just stupid
Zanchief geographically is a hell of a lot closer to your ghetto than a big portion of people who are in your country
that being said
we got snow early this week, but it's finally melted off, the street sweepers are out, and I'm hoping for shorts weather by next weekend

Re: Today is a beautiful day.

It's your issue when you give him the power to produce those 5 page rants with a single post.
And Gyps, I wasn't singling you out as the only person producing posts.

As an aside in the spirit of the original intent of this thread, it's another awesome day out. I'm taking a day off from exercising. I'm just gonna sit around and drink today for the fuck of it. It's been awhile.
