"I really wish someone would have came to me and said Ok listen, this is what you need to watch out for....blah blah blah, I took off my clothes online and I am a stupid whore."

And no, I have no sympathy for the ignorant.

I kind of agree with Harrison's sentiments on this

"they were bullying me over the internet!"

Sorry if I don't find the organized tormenting of individuals to be risible, regardless of whether or not it occurs online or offline.

Yeah, there are easy things some of the people can do to avoid or lessen the bullying. That still doesn't alter for one iota the inherent cruelty of those perpetrating the actions, or make them any less pathetic wastes of flesh that deserve some real torment of their own. (rack, thumbscrews, would be good starts)

Yeah, that's a totally reasonable reaction. :ugh:

You're off your fucking rocker.

The only people at fault are the parents of the children and the equally moronic and pathetic adults (read: you) who think this is even newsworthy.

Newsflash, this isn't Candyland. The world isn't a nice place. KIDS don't belong posting a live video feed of themselves on the internet regardless of what context it is in.

If your child is dumb enough to take its clothes off on camera the only person to blame is you. A fucking 13 year-old who thought undressing on camera was alright? Give me a fucking break. She's an idiot, and will likely end up a stripper like the rest of her kind.

Edit: Added 6 letters and underlined a sentence for clarity...I know how difficult of a time some of you have understanding common sense.

it's blown all out of proportion

it's organized in the way that everyone here taunts mindia about stealth, flink about v-neck sweaters and lipstick, you about being a wacky tabaccy loving witch, etc etc

and just like people here sometimes lose their cool and lash back saying stupid shit, people getting "cyber bullied" do stupid shit too

seriously

There's a difference between adults giving each other shit and people tormenting children.

Bullying is unacceptable whether it is some guy beating up other students for their lunch money on campus or people doing it online. It is wrong and morally reprehensible. It doesn't even matter whether it's organized or individual.

If I ever had a kid and caught them doing this shit to someone else, they would be in so much trouble they wouldn't know what hit them.

I repeat: Regardless of venue or age of the tormentors, bullying and tormenting other children is WRONG. Period.

Yes, some of the victims made less than stellar decisions, as did their parents. However, the victims not being of mensa-caliber intellect does NOT excuse the actions of the perpetrators.

seriously tho

this isn't the kind of thing where kids have to walk past a certain hall, and can't avoid the tormenters

I'm not defending the kids doing the bullying, but seriously. if you didn't really want to show your tits online, there's not really a whole lot they can do if you just turn the cam off

as usual harrison lacks basic communication skills and can't say anything without throwing a couple f bombs in for good measure to make him sound cool

but overall i agree with his point - watching the video, the girls at least.. it's pretty clear that they were well and good with it until it was posted all over the place. people need to learn to take accountability. if you act like an idiot, we live in an era where word will spread quickly. you have no one to blame but yourself for your lack of common sense.

the guy looked to be someone who just wanted to be on TV tbh. i don't think it's ignorance, I think it's attention whoring gone awry.. and no, I can't feel bad about that

Paddle their ass, most likely. I've never discounted spanking as a parenting tool. There's a difference between spanking and abuse-level beating. Yes, I know this sets me apart from many of my liberal brethren. I don't care. On top of that, they'd also get grounded, the time-out and shut off from internet and TV for a longass time, yes.

Yes, they could avoid being picked on by never logging into the internet. People getting bullied in RL could often avoid it by never going to certain playgrounds, etc. as well. That's hardly the point, though. Why should the abuse and intimidation by bullies be allowed to force someone out of doing something they enjoy? Doesn't matter whether that is playing baseball or something at a playground, or talking with actual friends online. Locality doesn't change the fact that bullying is WRONG. period.

I'm not even talking about the people in the video. Yes, something is wrong in the head with a girl that lets herself get pestered into doing explicit acts on camera. Her failures don't excuse what was done to her, however.

I don't agree with the news report, either. It's not enough to air a story like that and not talk about how you can avoid it, by simply turning off the messenger, blocking the person or turning off the camera.

Still, finding "cyber bullying" to be an issue is still pretty sad if you ask me.

Internet bullying? It's just stupid. You're a fag if you do it and you're a puss if you take it. It's stupid. End of story

well there's obviously exceptions to the rule, Toss, and that's definitely a fair one.. but a 12 year old girl stomping her feet and whining that all of her other myspace friends have one isn't.
