Well - although Mindia floundered, I still respect him for attempting to maintain his position on his beliefs under the boiling heat of the attacks. He is not the most eloquent, and he might have flip-flopped personalities... but he APPEARS to be sincere in his newly found outlook on life.
Although I don't agree with him, I can still tip my hat to someone with conviction... I only hope that he applies as much determination to his actions as he infers.
Yes, I know you feel that he is some poster child for Radical Christian Arianism... and he might be... but I feel that in his heart he really is trying to be a good Christian within the parameters he understands. There's just a lot in this world that we ALL lack understanding and tolerance for... his subset is just different than yours hence leading to the blistering attacks on him.
Nobody was attacking Mindia until he opened his mouth. The posts were somewhat 'civil' discussion on religion until he started condemning millions of people to hell. The threads were somewhat intelligent until he said that his judging and condemning millions of people that he's never met is the same as the rage I'd feel if I were to run into a man raping a ten year old girl.

Mindia brought it on himself... Leadaira brought it upon him/herself. Kuwen and Korwynn managed to keep the discussions within the realm of 'purt neer smartt.' Mindia forced us to dive back into the waters of irrationality.

I can understand your pain and discomfort and lack of belief in God, seeing how you're a Mavs fan. But try and find faith, and perhaps hope that one day Jesus will come again, or at least the Mavs will learn how to play D. I imagine both events will occur somewhat near each other.

I've given up trying to argue for our defense =/. It's simply not there.

For the record, the amount of ass-beating and total and complete ownage that Mindia has been subjected to over the past few weeks MUST be a new NT record. I *really* would love to see him keep coming back for more, but it appears that he's going to whimper away with little "boohoo, the seed of Christ has been planted... Sorry, this is light stuff. There were some flame threads in NT history that make this one look light.
Who was that Cleric guy in Sanct <not me!> who could never shut up, and got into these 20 page flame wars seemingly weekly? Can't remember his name, but he got abused pretty harshly.
I never posted in Rants & Flames before I quit back in 2001.. Seemingly a few of my discussions that I tried to make got moved over there.. No motive there.. nahhh

well - I'm done with the Mindia threads... I was enjoying them till he melted down on the Catholic church... now I can't even swallow the idea of arguing on the same side as him... even for as little as I agreed with him.
Bashing him isn't any fun either... it's like beating a quadraplegic with a stick....
