Does Madden still have exclusive rights to NFL player names and all that? That's what kills the other games is it's no fun to play with some generic dudes.

I agree with what that guy says though. Madden just has too much fluff right now and not enough game. Would be great to see an upgraded Techmo game with the current NFL players.

madden has the exclusive license, but you can fully customize the tecmo teams, so you could recreate nfl rosters if you wanted, as well as teams uniforms, logos, etc etc

obviously it's more work, but it'll be pretty fun

that being said, I'm enjoying the hell out of Madden 08 for the most part
