George Carlin dead at 71

good comedian, more intelligent than people usually give him credit for. some of his insights on language, i always felt, were especially brilliant. he'll be missed by many.

brilliant man, really. didn't always agree with him, but he had something a lot of people in hollywood don't - he was as genuine as they come. love him or hate him, that's an awesome quality to have.

I always enjoyed his ramblings on religion, myself. surprised he didn't die sooner with his lifestyle, but I didn't even realize he was sick.. maybe he wasn't? Honestly the first I read about his death was on NT.

anyhow, it puts the end to an era - he was certainly a unique mind.
