Maybe, I opened the case and ran it with a big fan blowing into it for awhile.

Ran for a couple of hours while in full screen and low graphics options.

But then I turned off the computer and left the house, so it would have cooled significantly and I set the fan on it before starting it but I crashed after like 20 minutes.

whenever i had video card problems it would freeze the cpu and force me to restart it... like the colors would bug out and then it would lock up, etc. never rebooted on me. not saying that isn't the cause of your problem, tho. if it's ultra random you might wanna check that your motherboard is pushed off the case properly... when i built a new PC it would restart randomly and it took me a long time to figure out something on the MB was getting bridged on the bottom side

Well the bitch of it is, it only happens on EQlive.

I can two box and watch porn if I'm on SoD and everything is fine.

I had a similar problem which also took me ages to fix. It turned out I was blocking the airholes in my case. I could run my trader full time no problem. But if I tried to 2box, it might be fine for a few hours, or it might lock up in 10 minutes. Completely random. Then one day, I moved the file folders I had stacked between the case and the monitor, and noticed some holes in the side of the case. As long as I keep those clear, no problems. I felt really dumb to figure that out, but it was really hard to diagnose. All I knew was, it seemed to be overheating, inconsistently. Everyone was telling me, "Oh, you need to reinstall windows", "Probably a driver issue", etc. 3 CD jewel cases between the case and the file folders, and everyone's happy over here.

Good luck figuring out your issue! I hope it's as relatively simple as mine was!

well

if you actually set your case up properly, the side is there to help direct airflow across the parts properly

basically, you want cool air intake at the bottom front, and warmer air exhaust at the back top
