Election prediction

Postby Eziekial » Fri Sep 19, 2008 2:57 pm

OK. So I was at Navy Duty today and the CO and I had a long discussion about politics in America. We ended up making predictions on the election, wrote them down and filed them for election night.

My prediction: McCain 53%, Obama 47%- not even close in terms of recent elections.

That's not what I WANT to happen, just what I THINK will happen. Anyone else want predict the election? I think it would be fun to see who comes the closest...

McCain 41%
Obama 36%
Third Parties 22%
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Unless Palin really ruins her reputation I think McCain is winning this one. There's no way Third Party Candidates take 22%.

I'm not going to give my predictions until I see the debate this friday (I think it's this friday).

I'm disappointed though because it isn't about the economy :\

bah, screw it.

McCain 52

Seriously? There will be literally millions of new voters this election... along with many independents like myself swinging Obama. There is no way the polls will be able to predict this one.

I say:

Obama 54%
McCain 42%
Other 4%

    The reason mccain will win.

Obama is black, no other reason.

Our country is far too racist to let Obama win.

My mother who has been a republican for the last 20+ years is backing Obama BIG TIME. She is actively recruiting long time repubs and getting them to jump the fence with her. :)

Why? WHY would someone want more of what we've had for the last 8 years? WHY? Aren't you even slightly curious what "the other side" would do now that you've had 8 years of ass raping? Wouldn't at least some lube and maybe a reach around be nice about now?

    it's just how it is.

McCain will not be "more of the same" imo. He's gone against Bush on several key issues. I also absolutely admire Palin.

I agree, but that's not the case with me. I'd vote for a Democrat if that party can produce one with a brain who's not a socialist asstard. Zell Miller was awesome. He should've ran for office 8 years ago.
