Maybe she is an idiot, i dont know, but im saying thats part of of the problem is all these politicians are usually born into their money and positions and have no idea what the fuck a normal person goes through on a day to day basis. Its part of the reason I dont watch or give a shit about politics, its just a bunch of rich people taking care of their rich friends while the rest of the country sits and dies away

seriously? *Palin* is the one who makes you think of down to earth and been through a regular life? Obama worked for everything he has.. I mean everything. He just doesn't sit there and make his entire speeches about what a Joe Sixpack he is, since, you know, there's more important things to talk about. Obviously the "normal life" she led is one of the only talking points she has, so she drills it into the ground so people who don't pay attention to what's going on can think along the same lines of "she's pretty down to earth and normal" - makes me a little sad that it's working, since she's a complete fucking moron.

PS - http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/516013 - I hope when she gets back to Alaska she gets impeached to boot. people like her should never, ever be in any office.

If Obama wins this election, how the hell is he going to deal with Russia, Cuba (when Hugo Chavez takes it over), Venezuela, etc? This is a HUGE issue that you Obamaniacs are overlooking. Obama and Biden are huge pussies, and these other countries are gonna steamroll their ass, which is going to put America at an even bigger risk of attacks from foreign countries. For Christ's sake people... use your noggins, PLEASE. Poise, stature, and an elegant speaking ability does not make someone a good presidential candidate. Obama will put America in a worse state than it's in right now. McCain, although flawed and far from perfect, will be the better choice between the two to get the country back on track. You Obamaniacs scare the shit out of me.

I am still yet to meet anyone who knows anything about the guy. The other day there were a bunch of loudmouthed black girls standing outside the mall here yelling for Obama and passing out flyers and shit and all that. On my way out an hour later I heard some guy go something like "godamn would you guys shut the fuck up? Do you even know where hes from? Tell me, where is he even from? What state does he respresent?" Or something like that, and not a single one of the 4 could answer, they just stuttered for a few seconds then started on soemthing about how everyones afraid of a black president. THAT is what makes up the 99% of Obama fanbois that I know. They cant even tell me shit like that. Fucking, idiots.

Im not saying McCain people are any better, hes a jerkoff too. Im just saying from what ive seen, Obama sure has the stupid peoples vote, and thats why he is going to win this election, I hate to say.

But same as always, im not voting. Waste, of, time. This country is going to get assfucked just like we always do by them. So quit whining and go outside and enjoy the day with what you have, not with what you hope the crooks in DC will give you. Youll be a lot happier and not so grumpy all the time because all you can think about is fucking politics. They could elect Mike Tyson president and you would still do what you have to do to get by, so why not not worry about it and just do it and be happy :boots:

God, I wish I could've experienced people handing out Obama flyers around here. I would've spit on the flyer and handed it right back to them. Yes Gaazy, you are right. Obama supporters are undoubtedly the biggest retards in the country, and it's scary as hell. I see *some* intelligent people who support Obama because they just want change and are brainwashed into thinking that ol Barry is the Messiah... thanks to the liberal mainstream media mind control machine.

I support Obama, not because I am in any way brainwashed, but because I agree with him on most of his positions, and disagree with most of McCain's.

I think McCain will be a war-monger, and continue the Bush doctrine of using military first as a primary option, not as a last resort, which is exactly the opposite of how I think things should work. Also, McCain's economic record is one of supporting exactly the kind of lack of regulation and oversight that resulted in the current meltdown, and I do not in any way trust him to eb in charge of fixing the problem.

As one more issue, I think the McCain tax proposal unfairly benefits the richest of the rich in the country, and I do NOT believe that "trickle-down" in any way works whatsoever, and indeed the last 8 years of it under Bush has helped vastly erode the middle class in this country.

Given that McCain has voted over 90% in lockstep with Bush, I don't see him as any change at all, just 4 more years of exactly the same crap we've had for the last 8, that took us from one of our biggest periods of economic prosperity, with an actual government surplus, to the brink of what is being compared to the beginning of the Great Depression. No thank you to ANY more years of that.

Notice too, I didnt say all Obamians are idiots. Im sure theres plenty that can think and make decisions for themselves based on all his stances and whatever, but the vast majority Ive seen are complete fucking idiots.

My little sister is in 11th grade and for some reason likes all this political crap (shes like the only one in the family other than my grandparents that are left), and she was telling me today that last week some little black girls in her class were runnin their mouths about obama saying that any white that doesnt vote for him is racist. When my sister disagreed, they called her a dumb cracker or whatever, with the teacher sittin there listening. Now of course, if a white person would have said you dumb nigger or whatever, they would have been expelled, suspended, or jumped, or all of the above. Of course, my sister doesnt have the mouth or attitude that I do, so she backed down and left. Now if it were me, I dont take as kindly to that horseshit as she does I guess, and I probably wouldve ended up in a bit of trouble.

I disagree that McCain will be a war-monger. I think he and Bush have different views. First, remember that Iraq was NOT a consequence of 9/11 but - as I firmly believe - was the intentions of Bush before he was sworn in. Secondly, unlike Bush, McCain has actually served IN a war and didn't hide behind the Texas National Guard - the point here is that someone who's been in a real war understands more vividly the human tolls that are incurred during said conflict. Third - no one here can deny that McCain is much more intelligent than Bush. What I DO like about McCain is that he's not likely to sit by waiting for the most useless entity in the history of the world (the UN) if and when our closest allies are attacked. I also don't believe he's going to go Hiroshima (sp) on any particular country without just cause - if at all.

Secondly, you're correct in that trickle down economics does not work. It was great in the 80's, but greed and excess are now completely out of control. However, I don't believe that taking more from someone who makes more is the answer. Raise taxes on businesses and who do you think will pay them? You will. I will. Everyone who buys products will. Basic econ 101 here - businesses don't pay taxes. They pass them along to the consumer in the form of higher prices. You can raise the taxes on the rich all you want, but until you close the endless supply of loop holes, they'll continue to hide their money. People who make and have a lot of money are smart - unless they're trust fund babies (e.g Paris Hilton), most of them made their wealth using their brain - no matter how sinister their deeds while doing so. If they're smart enough to make 50 million plus - are they not smart enough to hide it?

Both Obama and McCain are completely full of shit when they say they're going to lower taxes on the Middle Class - and anyone who honestly believes either of them is a moron (no offense to anyone here). With the price tag on the war(s) coming closer to a TRILLION dollars + this bail out near a trillion + the already astronomical debt? Who are they kidding?

You are grossly mistaken by claiming that McCain supported the lack of oversight that caused the current situation. He DID in fact warn of this mess years ago and did in fact support legislating putting the stops on it - but was ignored by the DEMOCRATS who were directly benefiting from FRE and FRN in the form of monies donated to campaigns, etc.

Finally - one can't simply say so and so voted with so and so X% of the time... that's illogical and misguided. I wouldn't even make those claims against Obama. Why? Because you have to look at the Bill itself to see WHY they voted either for or against it.

    Here's an example:

Democrat A is a firm believer in abortion rights. A bill is presented before the floor to loosen regulations on abortions, but also has a coat tail of doing away with the Brady Bill - this is just a hypothetical to make a point. This Democrat while in full support of loosing the regs on abortion is much more adverse to eliminating a bill designed for tighter gun control - so he votes AGAINST the bill. When an election comes 'round his opponent will stand up and scream "He claims he's pro-choice, but he voted against a pro-choice bill!" Rarely to never is the REASON disclosed why he voted the way he did.

So you can say that McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time - and on paper you'd be correct. But, I'm more interested in the details of the Bills voted on and the reasons WHY he voted either for or against them.

I've always said that the voting record is the single best way to get inside the brain of your "man" but I never added that you have to look at the Bills themselves to see the what and why.

Claiming that McCain is just 4 more years of Bush is erroneous in its conception and purely the product of propaganda. They're NOT the same, period.

I have to agree here. The stories you tell baffle me, because it seems like you're surrounded by nothing but inbred retards.

I can tell you exactly where he came from, where he's been in his life, what he's done to get where he is, and what he supports. There is a reason I support the man, and it has nothing to do with his race or his orating, though I'll say his ability to speak is a welcomed change from the retardican mongoloid that's been representing us for the last 8 years.

Mindia, I'm not sure what to say to you at this point. Here you are saying you're scared of Obama supporters because Obama is too much of a pansy - meanwhile you support people who have been so aggressive that it's sent our entire nation into a downward spiral of turmoil and recession. At what point will you understand that it's not up to the US to regulate how the rest of the world runs? At what point will you get that that type of thinking has gotten us nowhere?

Obama supporters are the biggest retards in this country? Says the man whose VP pick thinks seeing a country from a mountaintop is equivalent to foreign policy experience? Whose ticket's rallies have rednecks shouting "KILL HIM" because the only thing the ticket has is to blatantly lie and say the opponent pals around with terrorists? You're supporting a ticket that's specifically trying to target people who don't care enough to do research and buy into key talking points like maverick, 9/11, liberal mainstream media, gotcha journalism, and terrorists. A ticket whose entire goal is to get stupid people to repeat these key words with passion even though they have no idea why they support their candidate outside of the key words. A ticket who discredits the intelligence of the american people by focusing on a popularity contest and who can scare whom the most rather than come up with real solutions to the issues. A ticket that has completely flip-flopped on several stances and knows that if they word themselves a certain way and throw a few fear words in there, the blind who support them won't take notice.

You are one of the people they are targeting. You have been regurgitating Fox and the key words McCain and Palin have been spewing without bothering to give credit to anyone who supports the opposition. They have tried to paint him and his supporters one way, and without paying any mind to what the other side is saying, you assume what they say is true. I am a supporter, and I am not a stupid woman or a retard, nor am I brainwashed as you'd like to assume. As a grown man, you should exhibit a little more intelligence, though when it comes to politics you seem incapable of doing so.

Diekan - as far as him warning us about the meltdown, I think you also need to note how he continued to champion the deregulation that led to it. All of the sudden he now has ads out attacking those who supported deregulation, so basically he is attacking himself. Also, I find it peculiar how now you are saying that the why matters just as much as the actual vote does since you seemed to be of a different mindset not too long ago when it came to Obama's voting record.

they call him barry even more recently because his nickname as a kid was barry so there's some already disproven false email circulating saying that he changed his name because of his pakistan trip in college. people eat that shit up, doesn't matter how true it is. they also constantly mention his middle name - no one does that to anyone else but him. pretty stupid.

    Re: The Palin Choice

While I think they both have their pros and cons. IMO McCain especially as of late has been very flip floppy. He's changed so many things and made so many off the wall statements I don't know where the fuck he stands on several points.

McCain is far too old to be in touch with "today", his attempt to bring Palin to the game proves this to a point, he needed someone young and fresh, not smart and experienced. He preaches a mantra of bob the builder with his "we can do it, yes we can" over and over. He is acting senile to an extreme lately, he is a coward and leaves dirty work for his people. He will screw 90% of the populace and coat a nice layer of frosting on the 10% of upper society.

He is an unpredictable hot head, he admits this in his own books, he makes a decision and just roles with it, he doesn't admit mistakes. He feels WINNING is everything and will do ANYTHING to win. He feels humility is for pussies.

I truly do not see one good thing McCain brings to the table. That isn't to say Obama doesn't have his faults, he does, but those are mounds next to McCain's towering mountain range.
