what the crap (outlook question)

soooo one of the messages in my outlook inbox has a "distribution list" icon (contact card + little blue-shirted man and little green-shirted man) but that particular contact (alex, actually) is not in a distribution list, let alone in my contacts. i don't even have any distribution lists. what the crap? how do i get it to not be like this anymore?

Is alex your boyfriend, does he work in your office?
Do any other items look this way?
If you get an e-mail from a co-worker, does it look correct? How about a different friend or e-mail addy from yahoo, or gmail? How do those look?

that's a distribution list on your local machine. It's different from a distribution group which is exchange related.

If you go contacts do you see any groups listed? You can enter people into the groups without actually adding them to your contacts.

Does it appear to be a regular email when you open it? It could also be a request to swap contact information.

Do other emails from the same source appear the same way? Do any other emails look like that.

I think a v-card looks like a contact object, she has the icon of a DL.

negative, it's just that message and only from him. and it was just a plain ol' email, too--no fancy attachments or anything.
