hi i'm good

most women from internets are whores. i haven't dated seriously since the last fiasco. (anyone know what the record is for guys fucked in 1 guild online?)

lots has changed in my life

my 18 year old brother had a massive stroke about 2 months ago and against all odds somehow pulled through. Doctors said he would probably never walk and talk again but 2 days later was up and out of bed and playing on an indoor putting (golf) green. Was totally released from the hospital 4 days later. He's totally recovered now except for a bit of speech problem. He put off college for a year because of it...that's the only thing that really sucks for him.

As for me, this summer I spent 10 days in San Diego for my best friend's wedding, in the hottest temperatures they had in forever according to them. It was sweltering and uncomfortable. I think it was over 100 everyday...and then like 50 during the night. Some fun clubs out there. During the late summer I did a bunch of section hikes on the appalachian trails, then came football season and I've been going to every penn state game. So life is good and low stress, being single is great.

cool... my wife and I have rediscovered the joys of nature hiking... much to see up in your area. We keep targeting areas of the nation that we want to 'see' before we start reproducing and that's one of them. Plus, I want to see an Amish dude at least once.

Would have had it covered if you just said simply, "most people fucking suck."

That covers both men and women because in general, people are terrible.

Much of North Texas is pretty freaking flat... we have to drive pretty far out (basically, cover the size of nebraska) before we get to anything interesting.

Though, Big Bend is very much a 'win'. Palo Duro Canyon was amazing too.

When you passed him(the Amish dude), did he 'angry fist' you and call you "crazy english!!"??

angry fist you...

:ugh:

Amish is overrated, people act like they're everywhere. I've seen.....maybe 10 in my entire life. My uncle owns a construction company who employs almost only Amish people. He said that they'd make sailors blush with the way they swear.

Leah the doctors did every test known to man and couldn't find what the cause was. The only thing it could have been was a blood clot that hemmorhaged. The nurses were amazed by his artery scans, they were the cleanest they've ever seen. They're used to seeing arteries of old people obviously but they said that he's 100% healthy and it should have never happened.

One thing the doctor did say was that everyone who has a any family past of blood clots or the like should take one aspirin a day because it works as a slight blood thinner. My brother has been doing that since.

The AT is pretty amazing, you meet some crazy fucking people while there, some people live on it year round and just make trips up and down. We met Karl Meltzer when he was running through on his speed attempt, that was pretty cool.

Nothing like the outdoors taxxy poo. I hunted this morning before work. ended up an hour late because my favorite time of day in the woods is first light, when everything is waking up. Although, I hunt in the woods behind work, and I am my boss pretty much, so I guess im late when I want to be, just another hour ill stay after work.

Whoa! Hey Tucker, sorry to hear about your brother but I'm glad he got through it. I think I remember you mentioning you were coming to SD for a wedding. It would have been nice to finally meet you and take you to the best pizza place ever down here! I hope you enjoyed the weather and scenery!

oh, good. we heart you too!

sorry about your brother, but I'm glad it wasn't worse. putting off college for a year isn't so bad depending on how you look at it - he can just look at it as a party break, and that's okay. it was a stroke or an aneurysm? You never (well I never) hear of stroke in people that young, but I've heard of aneurysms in people that young. Either way it totally sucks - I'm just glad he's okay.

and I'm glad you're posting!

It was 100% a stroke Gyps. The docs said that it's really not as rare as some people might think...but not common either. He said on a scale of 1-10 that it was a severe 7+ stroke. They seriously thought he'd never function normally again. What's worse is that is happened when they were down at our beach house in Chincoteague, VA so I had to drive 5.5 hours down to Salisbury hospital looking through tear-filled eyes.
