Sold that business 1.5 years ago, when housing market started to go down Was in school at the time for BS Electronic Engineering/ Minor Comp Engineering since i had AS in Comp Science from late 90's. Actually going to graduate June 09, so I started doing IT contracting work to pay bills. I still do tile once in while for guy who bought business from me when I need big payday.
Often doing just that is the quickest, most efficient way to fix some spyware and other software issues. If I figure the fix will take more than an hour to troubleshoot, I will suggest the person just do a factory restore if it came with that option.
Back up files and settings to a flashdrive. Restore machine to factory default Restore files and settings.
No fucking around downloading scripted spyware removals kits or booting in to safe mode over and over again, no wasting time troubleshooting pieces of shit like Norton, etc.
The customer usually appreciates having their machine up and running so fast and are willing to reinstall their own patches, purchased software and games.
Yep I'm in Southfield but moving across the state to Holland, MI in late November. Got recruited by a company over there to go work for them, and the offer was too good to pass up.
