nah honestly i just don't see the appeal of basketball. there's no tension, it's just constant running and shooting punctuated by the occasional foul shot. basketball seems to be less about strategy and cunning than just being ahead when the clock runs out.

i realize baseball might seem extremely slow-paced in comparison, and it definitely is, but there's a certain grace to the rhythm of the game and a closer game is always just a swing away. and in extremely close games, the tension dripping off of every pitch just makes all the boring 1-2-3 innings well worth the wait.
