Texas Tech
Getting destroyed tonight.
Re: Texas Tech
Before the game, I thought it would be a close game but had a feeling OU would win. I did not expect this... I like it, but this is insane.

Re: Texas Tech
welp, TTU is almost certainly out of the National Championship discussion, but with a win over Baylor would still finish at 11-1, good enough for a major bowl. there are pretty intense arguments going on right now about what will happen to OU and Texas if (when) they both win out
of course, there's still the outside (okay, very VERY outside) chance that OU could lose to OKSt next week, which would leave a two-way tie between TTU and Tex. TTU would then go to the big12 CG to face missouri because they were able to put down Tex.
so, uhh.... GOOOO COWBOYS

Re: Texas Tech
If OU plays the Cowgirls anything like they played Tech last night, OK St. doesn't stand a chance.
Re: Texas Tech
florida vs. oklahoma is the championship we deserve. They're obviously the 2 best teams in the country.

Re: Texas Tech
no it doesn't
if they all win their remaining games, the tiebreaker will be BCS rating. since pollsters have ADD, they will probably forget OU's loss to texas, since it happened longer ago than TTU to OU or texas to TTU.
also, the computers will have a say. they have a better memory, and will also take strength of schedule into account, where texas might have a slight edge. it's a big mess that will be solved quite handily if OU inexplicably loses to OKSt
what pisses me off is that heisman voters are probably going to swing back to bradford as the leading candidate. he is a very good QB, sure, but his ability to take the snap and give the ball to murray/brown shouldn't win him a heisman. he was only 14/19 on passing, while harrell was 33/55. though again, ADD seems to be the norm in voters, so they will probably forget about OU's loss to texas and TTU's 3-quarter domination of texas, and instead go off the momentum of OU's stomping TTU when considering how to vote. worst of all, TTU's only guaranteed game left is against baylor, which no one will care about-- yet OU will have an opportunity to pad bradford's heisman stats against OKSt and possibly in the big12 CG. frustrating

Re: Texas Tech
Would be lol to see Missouri end up winning the big 12 championship game, then the highest ranked team in the BCS that actually WON it's own conference (assuming Oregon State beats Oregon) would be Utah.
If the BCS stays true to form, they won't let a team that didn't win it's conference into the championship game, even if they deserve to be there like Georgia last year.

Re: Texas Tech
Alabama/Florida winner would still be higher rank than Utah.
Re: Texas Tech
Ya my bad. I was going under the assumption that we all agreed the SEC winner is getting one of the championship spots. It's who they play that comes into question.
Re: Texas Tech
I like to see Florida vs. Utah.
Re: Texas Tech
I'm hoping for OU vs. Florida or Alabama, preferably Florida though.
I don't see Mizzou even remotely standing a chance against whoever ranks highest in Big 12 South. They have fallen apart after their loss to OK St.

Re: Texas Tech
I said it at the start. Tim Tebow is going to win the championship.
