I remember in 1999, I had a femal mage that got hooked up with an oracle robe, a stein of the moggok and a ton of other stuff (from some hardcore level 50 wizard, I think it might have been Arbaal) and I decided mage wasnt for me, so I made my halfling druid Ginzburgh, transferred all the gear from my mage to ginzburgh and sold the mage gear to hook ginzburgh up. All that stuff was worth a pretty penny back then so I was able to really twink out ginzburgh. Then, I deleted my mage and just had ginzburgh on my account. About a week later, the server crashed and they had to roll it back. When I logged back on, Ginzburgh was intact with all his gear and low and behold, the mage I delete was back with all the gear she had prior to transferring it to ginzburgh. So I transferred the oracle robe, stein of moggok and all the other stuff, sold it again and continued hooking up Ginzburgh.

At that point I was probably the most hardcore geared level 20 druid in everquest !

I'm still waiting for something like that to happen again.
