Supposedly, it'll do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, and gets 91.7 mpg....

Yes mommy, please. I'll take one for my birthday, thanks....

Haha that looks like something those idiot kids from Princeton would buy that marched on the Capital Power Plant the other day would buy. They marched on it in protest to coal usage and all that shit, but what is hilarious is that thing isnt even run on coal, its run on almost all natural gas...wonder if they knew that when they went there haha

If you are in the market for this type of performance sports car you aren't worried about how much you spend on gas. At 91 mpg, the convenience of not having to fill up as often might just make it worth the extra cost (again we are talking about people with the extra money to burn on a nice toy).

Yeah people who can afford a car like this aren't buying it to save money on gas.

Just what I said. Rich kids from Princeton did some kind of retarded march the other day on the capital power plant in protest of coal (in which the little plant doesnt even run on coal). Its funny, they even were reported in saying they were going to try to 'dress down' to represent main street america. Bunch of snobs. And that car, looks like something their daddies will be buying them to give them something to talk about over their daily brunch in what theyre doing to help the environment

Oh yeah, and what Drem said, these cars are ugly, imo

And also, sorry for a small thread bump, im trying to catch up. I log in like once a week when I get bored anymore. Too busy

Yes, that is a great truck. Trucks are getting so expensive though >< I just bought a new work truck a couple months ago, and it was up there. A 2008 F-250. And once I got the stuff I had to have, like the full towing package and trailor brake system and all that stuff, it was pretty up there. Its one beautiful truck though, rides like a dream and will haul and tow like a beast

Last time I looked at getting a new F150 it was going to run 40K+ , I miss my truck and will probably get another one when I replace my current car, just couldn't afford it or the gas this time around.

yeah the new 150s are bad ass but they are costing so much its unreal. Ive still got my '04 150 and I havent had a drip of trouble out of it and its going on 120,000 miles. Theyre good vehicles (incoming someone sucking foreign car cock to say how much US vehicles suck anytime now). I put a pretty damn good bit of miles on it seein as i bought it in '06 I believe. Its good a paid off now, and I dont have to put too many miles on it anymore now that Ive got that new truck for work.

It's true, that's one thing the US automakers are good at: Making work-grade pickup trucks.

Unfortunately for them, only a tiny fraction of the population actually NEEDS those kind of trucks, and if gas goes back up (and it will), they're rather prohibitively expensive for people to get to look "manly" or whatever other reason they'd get them.

It's passenger cars and light trucks that US manufacturers can't seem to compete against the japanese and germans on. To be fair, a lot of that is because those countries actually have national health care, and so their car companies don't have anywhere near the same costs that ours do. Until the US has national health care, our auto industry will always be at a disadvantage. Even so, though, there's no f'ing way I'd spend money on a GM, Ford or Chrysler car these days. Never been happier with a car than I have been with my Audi, so I guarantee you my next car will also be an Audi.

my 98 explorer is built on the F150 chassis, and i've always appreciated the way it rides

aside from the ball joints crapping out (widespread design flaw in late 90's explorers) i haven't had a lick of trouble with the thing in the 4+ years i've owned it

As far as work trucks go, Ive had all kinds. Ive had heavy grade Fords, Chevys, and Dodges, and the Fords by FAR outlasted and outperformed the others, Dodges being the worst. And this was a little business we used to have towards the beginning with a couple trucks with steam cleaners on the back. Wed contract them out to strip operations to clean equipment and stuff with. so they were always on the worst condition haul roads, sunk up in the mud, rutty, dirty ass roads, all the time. so dirty youd have to service the oil every 1500 to 2000 miles because it would dirt it up so bad. But anyways, the fords were the best by far. Weve sold the trucks since then, but still have 2 of the Fords, both having over 300,000 miles on them. Also have a 98' F-350 that was what I used to haul parts and stuff around before I bought the new 250, it has 340,000 miles on it and still runs great. Suspension is startin to go out on it, and I put a new clutch in it a while back, but other than that, not a single prob out of it. Those older diesels are bad ass motherfuckers. My trucks go through the ringer, thats for sure. Ive always got something to haul around. The damn bed stays down towards the tires most of the time lol.

Dont know what made me think of this guy, but it goes along with what Arlos was saying about people buying the big trucks to be manly or whatever and never use em. I know this guy that lives down the street, well, hes 26 or 27 and lives at home, dads a doctor and loaded up, pretty much buys him whatever he wants ya know, that kind of kid. He just bought a new F350, fully loaded lifted it up and all that. And its hilarious, the guy has never had never lifted a damn finger his whole life, much less needs a truck like that for work. Hes probably never even had dirt under his fingernails. Hands as soft as a babies ass. He tries to act like some big redneck or something, but it just dont work with a rolex on one wrist and a big gold bracelet on the other. Talk about a silver spoon, christ, this kid drank his way out of college like 6 years ago, and has lived at home, NO job since then, sleepin all day, and his dad still buys him whatever he wants. Like wtf, what a piece of shit. I know the girl he used to date, and she said like they would get ready to go out or somethin, hes go in the tell his dad, and hed give him a few hundred bucks. Godamn, if I went in and asked my dad for a few hundred bucks to go out on, hes laugh at me and tell me to get the fuck out.

I have always found that when I have my truck I rarely need it, but damn you start to take it for granted when you dont have it anymore. When I moved to TX I traded my Dodge in for a mazda sedan thinking it would be better on gas and such. I cant tell you the number of small things that would have been 1000% easier if I still had that truck.
