yeah, I wish I would've known you guys needed a dueler before I picked my class - I was so torn on what to pick, then got a telegram like 3 minutes after I picked my class >< I think I'm going to go the trapper adventurer route.

I saw that they were primarily builders so I figured I'd go the route of trying to offer some defense.

Why a dueller rather than a soldier? Would seem that in a head to head matchup, Soldier has a big-time advantage, between getting to use higher-level weapons and the 50% tactics bonus.

That's the route I'm thinking of going, actually.

I chose soldier myself.

I'm not worried about the weapon level much. It doesn't seem to be a major factor, though I could be wrong later in the game.

Right haha.

And congrats on level 3 hotel. Now we're going to pool our efforts to build more residences, should have five more spots open by end of weekend. Drem and Durothil sent invite requests so keep leveling guys and your room will be ready in the next couple days. Then we'll have three more spots so if anyone else needs an invite let me know.

I won't be satisfied until everyone NT is playing daily. Come join the fun!

no, not really

in just a few clicks, you can assign your guy to do four hours' worth of work (plus travel time)

then you can walk away and come back in four hours to see how he did

let's just assume from the top left corner that letters starting at A go down and numbers starting at 1 go right. what cell is your damn town in? i could've at least saved myself a 4 hour trip or whatever at this point

PS does this game get better? it's not that spectacular so far

to answer your question, Drem, yes - it gets better. just like any other game, while you're developing yourself you start out fairly slow. now that I have something specific to work toward since I have a class, I find it more entertaining.

it's possible that it's just not your kind of game, though. if you didn't like travian, for example, I doubt you would like this. I think it's a bit more immersive than travian myself, but if you don't like browser type rpg's, it wouldn't be your thing.

Our new residences are done so we have five spots that just opened. Drem, I just sent you the invite. Durothil, I just sent you a reply to your request for invite, you're still level 1, so you're not playing, if you start playing we'll shoot you an invite but if not there is a finite number of residences and they need to go to people who play.

ok thanks. i didn't like travian at all but this is a lot better because it isn't city management (for me, anyway). i just like developing characters so this game is looking pretty good now that i'm not level 1.

i'm gonna be a dueler and i'm named Tulsa. letting everybody else know

what's a girl gotta do to get some t-bone steaks?!

I mean damn, how long I gotta be a cowboy for. I do 4 hours at a time before I have to switch due to motivation, but I've been at it back and forth for 3 days - oof. I think I got spoiled by getting 2 union flags within 6 hours of guarding the fort.

lvls 14 and 15 flew by in like half a day and I'm almost done with 16 - so many high exp quests in that little span. thank goodness too, because from 11-13 was a real bitch because I had like nothing I could complete.

I had that problem with those stupid beans for the indian guy. Ugh, took so many times doing them to get all 3 plates.

And that sheriff keeps loving to assign quests that I can't even TRY and complete for 3 or 4 levels. Last one was repairing fences, which even now I can only do cause of +4 construction shoes. The one I have now is hunting turkeys, which I'm not even remotely close to.

I did just find, though, that duelling is big time XP. I walked up to Freeport and duelled some guy 2 levels higher than me, absolutely kicked his ass, and got 40xp.

I guess it's considered bad form to repeatedly attack people like that, though, so I'll hold off, and find people from other towns to try and beat up. ;)
