Well, like I mentioned earlier... most of my stops are within a 4-hour radius of Sacramento. That will continue even if I do get my own rig. The furthest place I've gone to since I've been with this company is Hanford, down by Lemoore Naval Air Station, which is 3 1/2 hours south of Sac. I agree with you about trying to be away from home more during her infancy rather than childhood, but I'm home every night anyway. I know a propane driver from Bakersfield, who is married and has 2 boys. He's over-the-road and is out up to 14 days at a time, and then gets 3-4 days off. That would be hard.

If you think you'll make all that money, can't you just put a chunk down and finance the rest?

I'm looking at all the options available to me. The finance guy said the lenders are tightening up their requirements because of the economy, and are not as willing to write the loans as willingly as they used to. :( I might have a better shot at getting a used rig for now, and looking at this badass rig maybe next year.

pointless post with nothing to offer, but I have an odd affinity for really nice rigs. maybe it's because I'm on the interstate so much, but I will break my neck and risk wrecking my car staring at really badass ones.
