I've got a bluetooth module in my laptop
it's apparently not running
going into control panel, bluetooth settings it tells me that to turn it on, I need to right click the bluetooth icon in the system try, and turn it to on
that's all well and dandy, except I don't have a bluetooth icon in my system tray
I've tried uninstalling, and reinstalling the bluetooth module, no joy
I've rebooted, no joy
any other ideas?

Re: bluetooth
In the control panel there should be an option for bluetooth with one of those check marks to display it in the system tray.
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.

yup, you'd think so
doesn't exist tho
I ended up have to physically remove the module, uninstall the software (driver and the config app), and then reinstall everything
I still don't have the "Bluetooth Devices" in the control panel that I should, but I do have the systray icon which is all I really needed
Re: bluetooth
Bluetooth is always so picky on windows and getting it configured.
