Random client crashes and computer resets

Postby Atalya » Sun Mar 21, 2004 9:49 pm

got new computer on friday P4 2.8 ghz HT 1 gb pc 2700 ram Radeon 9800 pro Asus P4C800 deluxe mother board..

I login to EQ and based on a random timer i get the everquest has detected your client has crashed yada yada yada... And then from time to time my computer just resets. I have a 350 w PS and have a huge heatsink/fan and 2 case fans with exhaust . Accounting to ASus probe my cpu and mobo temp never cross 40 degrees C. I have tried ATI catalyst 4.3 as well as the latest omega catalyst drivers both with the same effect. Nothing is overclocked either.

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.

I had the client crash problem until I updated my router firmware.

Sound Cards are what cause the biggest issues with EQ. I'd check into that before that anything else.
