For having ~3 years experience, I find it very impressive. He copied some 40 year old guy's cover of Billie Jean, and even though the 40 year old plays it better, the kid is more impressive, so yes, it's more age related than anything.

if i ever saw a kid play a guitar like that in person i'd be dumbfounded
