As sad as any death is, I hear that she declined chemotherapy because she didn't want to lose her hair.

I don't know how true the hair thing is, but she definitely declined Chemo, which makes you wonder. She was in Germany I believe seeking some wacked out alternate methods that ultimately failed. It always strikes me as ridiculous when someone refuses a proven treatment. I mean Chemo doesn't work for everyone, my family has a long history of fighting and losing to cancer. But at least give the shit a try.

*ahem* the first thing she ever did was get chemo. she never declined it and definitely not because of her hair. even tho losing her hair was something she wanted to avoid, which she successfully did until her cancer came back. the reason she was in germany was for chemo and radiation therapies and laser surgeries and success rates and shit like that for a fraction of the pricetag that'd all have here in the states
