I don't think I can explain what Cronkite meant to anyone in their late 30s or older, who actually ever saw the news. It seems impossible today, but Cronkite really was the most trusted man in America; if he reported something, you believed it. He *WAS* the News. I am sure Lyion and Martrae can comment further on this.

An absolute massive loss to the journalistic community.

It really is a sad day.
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.
