maybe it's a blessing in disguise. maybe they'll find something serious that you never would've found out about otherwise. everything happens for a reason, right? the waiting game sure sucks, though.

I agree and I want to add a bit. Has any other viable life path ever crossed your mind? Maybe it's time to look at other potential options. A lot of times this shit happens for a reason and you were meant for something else?

A lot of things have passed my path. I am good at a lot of things. I don't say this out of conceit or anything of that nature. I really am good at a whole range of things at this point in my life. (and many with experience and/or training)

I really set my heart on this. My younger brother is in my unit. I chose Medic for a reason. I scored a 96 AFQT. I could be ANYTHING in the military with an opening. I did what I did for a reason.

I would have went counter-intelligence had I not had a girlfriend. I couldn't go through with that.

If it doesnt work out, be an EMT. I assume, you choose this certain MOS for reasons, EMTs are close enough. Unless you are going to be a medic to treat your own brother, which I highly advise against, but whatever. I rambeled there for a second, but find a civi job close to this if the military dumps you on your ass.

I've just logged into the army's E-learning software last night and am taking courses to get some certifications.

If the Army doesn't work out. I've just got a free education of sorts. These courses count towards college credits too, if I decide to go that route as well.

I'm still angry but this alleviated some of the stress.

I'm so damned glad I didn't join the army. I considered it, moved on post and lived for a couple of months, did a little research and realized it was NOT for me. I don't care if I never set foot on another military post for the rest of my life.

Not quite faggot.

I'm waiting to hear back from a neurologist about what he's going to need to do to "clear" me. Because the Army didn't even give any specific reason as to why the concussions disqualify me, fucking tools.

I've still gotta get another ultrasound, and all kinds of shit about my digestive system, ugh...

It's going, but it's a fucking pain.

You ever tried to schedule visits to specialists with no insurance?

I just got Masshealth a little while ago. Now it's a fucking waiting game.

Masshealth is just now giving me shit about not sending them proof of citizenship or something.(I sent them a fucking copy of my birth certificate...wtf) So I'm dealing with their retarded filing and have to get another copy of my birth certificate. :banghead:

Ahh I see. Please don't take that as a criticism btw, I'm just wondering why it's all taking so long. I know you've had your heart set on this for a while and I hope you don't give up on it.

You are still very young. Keep at it, and I'd suggest you also talk to the other services. In the end they are all pretty much the same.

Yeah, I'm contemplating putting myself on the market so to speak.

The National Guard offered me the most benefits, maybe that will change now with the other branches after seeing my AFQT. :dunno:

I don't want to be a Marine. They have the shittiest quality of life from what all of my friends who are Marines say.

Actually, I'd argue the Army has the crappiest quality of life, and training. The marines are dependent on what unit, but generally treat their people well.

I'd recommend the Air Force or Navy, as they have better duty stations and the best technical training. Get a guaranteed X Ray tech job with a guaranteed Hawaii or San Diego duty station. Much better than working as an Amry medic in Alabama or New Mexico.

I would definitely go Air Force if you can get in. They have a very good quality of life, though they are far more selective about who they accept. They just dont have the need that Army does and will have more requirements.

The problem with the Air Force is they only have 1% of GED holders, total. (So I was told..., it's like a quota they have to fill or can't go over?)

:banghead: I doubt even with my ridiculously high scores that I would make that cut. I've met some geniuses on base up at Otis that make me look like a monkey.

Best reply ever.

Go Navy, Harri. Better tech training, better duty stations, and you have a great chance to server in Japan or some other very cool country.
