i'd still love a classic/kunark/velious server. but nobody seems to do that. it's like all expansions or none. and i personally am not a fan of EQ without kunark/velious attached

They're going to do those expansions after a few months.

My ideal scenario would be an emulated server w/ Kunark-Velious with the option to create a level 60 character w/ some basic equipment off the bat - either that or massively accelerated exp and skillups. But to the extent of my knowledge something like that doesn't exist without being a complete cheaty-server. Doing some old school crushbone/blackburrow/guk is fun for the first 30-40 minutes but after that it gets dull. I just don't have it in me to do anymore xp grinding for the rest of my life. :\

As much as I enjoyed my time in EQ, I just dont think I could possibly go back to that and start over again.
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.

Spoiler for :
although if i were unemployed and there was a server that never expanded past velious it would be very tempting

part of what made EQ great was the accomplishment from grinding out that menial shit

it's not worth the effort these days though

the learning process was the other reward, and that's mostly gone now too
