Did you think the first one was awesome? I thought it was 80% shit.

The gameplay great and the story was good. It was just too repititious. "Do these three things, kill this guy" over and over again and you beat the game.

In Assassins Creed II, the gameplay is better, the story is great and there is no repition. They pretty much solved all of the problems I had with the first one.

oh that is good to hear as i had the same issues with the first one

the first two or three times you do each thing (i.e. pickpocket, eavesdrop, etc) was cool, and the boss fights were p badass but after like the second or third chapter it became pretty excruciating to do the same six things over and over and over again

yep, that was my biggest beef. Those "three things" are optional now, along with a bunch of other stuff.

The first one had flaws, but to me it was a fun game. I enjoyed it.

I'll nab it for the PS3 when my bank account recovers from Christmas.

I'm about halfway through the second one and trying to do everything. It really is awesome. And the setting is much better (renaissance Italy).
